The 7 Best Glasgow Massage Therapies for Instant Zen
I used to think that chronic neck pain, knotted shoulders, and that never-ending backache were just part of the “welcome to adulthood” package. A normal yet annoying part of life, if you will.
While I’d hit the spa every now and then to relax, it wasn’t until someone spilled the beans on massage therapy that I finally felt a sense of zen and experienced real relief.
By targeting the root of the problem, remedial massages offer a more holistic, therapeutic, and, honestly, heaven-sent approach to relaxation. So if you’re ready to say ditch the aches, loosen up those creaky joints, and say hello to a body that feels brand new, then read on.

Could not recommend highly enough.
“I have had long-term issues with back pain, and Jurgita has worked her magic on me a few times now. Each time I have been, the difference has been incredible. A lifetime’s bad posture hopefully being eased out from her skilful, targeted massaging. Could not recommend highly enough.”
I always benefit greatly from her appointments.
“Used Jurgita for a while for sports massages, they really help me as quite an active person that sits a lot at work. After previously trying other therapists/massages around Glasgow, Jurgita is the one I use consistently, I am confident to say she is very good at what she does. I always benefit greatly from her appointments.”

Lily Massage Therapy advertises itself as a place where clients can unwind, recharge, and relieve muscle tension through expert, tailored touch.
Their massage sessions are personalised, adapting to individual needs, whether for gentle relaxation or deeper muscle work.
Clients often leave feeling physically relieved and mentally relaxed, with less tension and a renewed sense of well‑being.
The therapist is praised as friendly, professional, and attentive, tailoring pressure and techniques to each client.
Deeper treatments, like deep‑tissue massage, target underlying muscle or connective‑tissue issues, ideal for chronic tension or active lifestyles.
Gentler massages, like Swedish or aromatherapy, are suitable for anyone seeking stress relief, making the therapy versatile across client needs.
Some accessibility limitations exist: the venue has stairs and no lift, which may affect clients with mobility issues.
Occasional reports note variability in service quality, especially for non‑massage treatments like facials, though this is rare.
Overall, Lily Massage Therapy delivers effective, considerate massage services, balancing relaxation and therapeutic benefits.
Relaxing and Effective
“I had a facial lifting treatment with Izabela and the results honestly surprised me. My skin looked brighter, smoother and more lifted right after the session.
Izabela explained every step, checked if I was comfortable, and used techniques that felt both relaxing and effective”

A&O is a solid choice for anyone with chronic or recurring pain thanks to their evidence-based approach to physiotherapy and massages. They offer a wide range of advanced massage therapies, from deeply therapeutic to relaxing. You’re honestly spoiled for choice.
The best part? They offer fun, harder-to-find treatments like their Hawaiian-inspired Lomi Lomi Massage and Bamboo Massage which uses real bamboo canes for deeper pressure. We also like their flexible session times, ranging from 30-minute fixes to 60-minute full sessions, depending on what you need.
If you’re the type to get massages on the regular, we think their monthly pamper package and massage memberships offer great value for money. While A&O sits on the pricier end compared to other clinics, we think their pricing is well worth the expertise, city-centre location, and advanced treatments.
Just a heads up: A&O isn’t tied to any insurance provider, so you’ll need to sort out claims on your own. On the bright side, they’re open daily, making it easier to fit into your schedule.
Amazing
“My first ever visit to Aga & Ola was on Sunday 20th July. I had an appointment with Brenda for a deep massage. Not going to lie, at times this was quite painful but I know I have a lot of knots to sort out. Brenda was amazing, and I have already booked another appointment in with her. I trust her to get these issues sorted out so that I am no longer suffering.”
Feels like I have been given a new back and shoulders
“Definatly worth all the penny… feels like i have been given a new back and shoulders.. friendly staff the minute you open the door yo met with smiles felt like home and it did help by calming my nerves as it was my first time and defo will be booking again. Thanks to Artemisia @Aga & Ola.”

The best thing about Deserved Massage is how their therapists customise every session. You’ll start with a little chat before the session to understand your pain points, medical history, and goals. From there, it’s tailoring time, making sure your massage is perfectly suited to what your body needs.
Another highlight is that they aren’t just focused on relaxation, but go deep to release tension and ease pain. Their signature Deep Tissue is known for really getting in there, while their Hot Stone Massage is perfect for gently melting away tightness.
But here’s the hitch: they don’t accept walk-ins, so you can’t just drop by when you feel like it; you need to book ahead. It’s also worth noting that there’s no dedicated parking. Luckily, there’s a nearby underground car park.
We also don’t mind the trade-off, especially since Deserved Massage is quite competitively priced, especially for a professional massage studio in Finnieston.
Definitely going back
“Had my first deep tissue massage with Wendy yesterday and it was amazing. She found every knot I didn’t even know I had and worked them all out. My neck felt better right away. Definitely going back!”
Tanya Kostadinova, Google Reviews
Great experience all around
“As a first time massage experience, Wendy made me feel extremely comfortable and was highly professional. She had a full understanding of any issues I had leading in and focused on the areas accordingly, great experience all around and would thoroughly recommend 👍”

What sets DMS Massage apart is its tech-savvy approach. They use a Deep Muscle Stimulator (DMS) device, which delivers high-frequency mechanical vibrations deep into your muscle tissues to promote lymphatic flow, improve tissue regeneration, reduce pain, and increase circulation, among others.
The clinic is run by John Lynch, their lead practitioner, who brings over 10 years of experience. We like how each session is personalised, with treatments continuously tailored as you go along, taking into consideration your needs and goals.
Specialising in pain management, DMS Massage is especially helpful for patients suffering from chronic pain, muscle strain, and injury rehabilitation. We also appreciate their aftercare support, offering guidance on recovery. Overall, they’re a great choice for anybody looking for a more treatment-focused session.
But here’s the hitch: their pricing isn’t readily available, so you’ll need to reach out to compare costs. On the bright side, their expertly tailored approach makes it worth the effort.

“John came today to sort the mother in laws sciatica. Very clever man his knowledge of muscles pains joints and fixes is second to none. Relax provides a wide variety of therapeutic massages, from gentle Swedish massages to more intense Four Hands Massage, where two therapists are working together in sync for a deeply immersive experience that’ll have you feeling reborn. (Can you tell I’m a fan of the Four Hands Massage?).
Aside from being open daily, we appreciate that they’re open until 8 PM on Mondays and 9 PM from Tuesdays to Fridays, perfect for squeezing in a session after work.
It’s also worth noting that NHS staff and students can enjoy discounts with a valid ID. For regular patrons, fret not, as their prices are fairly reasonable considering the expertise of their therapists and the quality of their care.
Another plus is their £10 rebooking discount, which not only saves you a tenner but also helps encourage regular visits for better results. Though keep in mind that you’ll need to book early due to their popularity.
Worth every penny
“Camilla you are a dream! Such a beautiful soul, professional and personable you made me feel very comfortable and listened to my needs to tailor my treatment to exactly what my muscles needed… I feel fantastic thank you so much Im already buzzing to come back.
Best deep tissue massage Ive had in a long time! Worth every penny.”

Our favourite thing about Healing Point is their flexible session lengths, covering everything from a quick 30-minute fix to a full 120-minute indulgence. A solid choice for anyone seeking a high-quality massage, we like their broad range of services, from pure relaxation to targeted therapeutic treatments.
Their therapists are also well-trained, tailoring their work to your pain points for both zen and relief. The best part? You can choose your therapist, so don’t skip checking out their team information for their working hours and specialisations.
Even better, their pricing is competitive for the quality of the treatment and is posted online, so no surprises, just relaxation. That said, we also like that the space itself is peaceful, with calming aromas and a soothing vibe.
The main caveat? Booking ahead is a must, as slots fill up quickly. There’s also a 24-hour cancellation policy, with full charges for missed appointments. The good news is that their online booking system makes scheduling quick and easy.
10/10 would recommend
“Had my first deep tissue massage here from Japan and it was the best massage I’ve had in a long time! I get regular massages but I left here feeling so relaxed and my knots were gone. Japan made me feel comfortable, was very polite and professional, and very attentive to my concern areas. The place is clean and smells lovely inside. 10/10 would recommend”
Feeling so much better ever since
“Excellent lymphatic drainage massage from Chloe. She started with some deep tissue work to relieve tension in the neck and shoulders which made the lymphatic massage more relaxing and effective. Been feeling so much better ever since. Would definitely recommend.”
