The 5 Best Day Spas in Glasgow

How We Picked

Service Variety

We chose spas that offered a wide selection of beauty treatments and relaxation therapies to cater to each client’s unique needs.

Quality

As a testament to their service quality, we based this on their credentials, training, certifications, and professionalism.

Spa

To ensure a worthwhile experience, we visited each spa to see whether the spa had state-of-the-art facilities and equipment, and a calming ambience.

Client satisfaction

We contacted a few past clients to get a glimpse of their experiences and feedback. We also based this on third-party sources.

Affordability

You can’t fully relax if you’re stressed about the cost. So, we chose spas that offered their services at reasonable prices.

Pros

  • Personalised treatment plans
  • Complimentary full consultation
  • Organic, vegan, and cruelty-free products
  • Has an organic skincare store
  • Online booking available
  • Clients can select attending therapist

Cons

  • Closed on Sundays and Mondays
  • Irregular business hours

Our favourite thing about Spa Twentysix is that all of their services are bespoke. Clients are given a complimentary full consultation to thoroughly assess their concerns and then a personalised treatment plan.

We also love that the attention and care they give are tailored to their client’s specific needs. To us, this approach ensures that clients attain the outcome they’re aiming for.

Did we mention that all of their products are organic, vegan, and cruelty-free? We like the extra step they take to use only the best ingredients in their treatments.

Having said that, we also think it’s a great convenience that they have an array of services under their roof. To boot, they also offer several kinds of packages which are perfect for gifting and parties.

During our visit, their staff members were friendly from the moment we entered. We found their massages and facials incredibly relaxing and appreciate how gentle their staff were.

Moreover, we think their prices are quite affordable. Hence, you won’t have to worry about leaving with a hole in your wallet.

As the icing on top, they have an organic skincare shop in the store. So, you won’t have to go far to stock up on your beauty essentials.

We like the convenience that their online booking system gives as you can make an appointment from your phone. For extra picky clients, it’s worth mentioning that you can select your attending therapist, too.

However, we found their irregular business hours a tad confusing. They’re also closed on Mondays and Sundays, so make sure to double-check that you’re booking the right dates.

Pros

  • Multi-awarded spa with 20+ years of industry experience
  • Offers services for expectant mums
  • Competitively priced services
  • Online booking option
  • Well-known for unique and luxurious treatments
  • Open 6 days a week

Cons

  • Bookings should be made at least 6 weeks in advance
  • Irregular business hours

Ocho Spa is a multi-awarded clinic that has over 20 years of industry experience. It’s best known for its unique and luxurious services, from bespoke spa treatments to pamper days.

One of their most sought-after packages is those for mums-to-be, starting at £45 an hour. These include tailored massages to ensure that you’re relaxed before the big day.

Many of their past customers that we’ve spoken to raved about their Ocho Luxury Pamper Day package, which we agree with.

For just £85 per person, you can choose among several indulgent treatments, which include various massages, rituals, and mani-pedis. To top it off, you’ll be given a tasty 3-course meal and a free glass of bubbly.

Oh, it’s also worth mentioning that they have a few limited special offers worth exploring if you’re on a budget. Even so, we think their regular services are already competitively priced.

But here’s the hitch: they’re often fully booked, which makes scheduling an appointment difficult. According to one of the spa’s representatives, it’s safest to book at least 6 weeks in advance.

Though they try and address this demand by being open from Mondays to Saturdays, they still can’t quite keep up. Nevertheless, we think this speaks highly of the quality of their service given how popular they are.

Also, their irregular business hours sometimes leave a few a bit muddled. So, ensure to check twice before booking via their website, email, or phone.

3. Savannah Beauty Centre

Pros

  • Therapists and aestheticians are regularly trained
  • Offers male-only treatments
  • Best known for waxing services
  • Online booking available
  • Clients can select attending staff
  • Open Mondays through Saturdays

Cons

  • Few instances of booking mishaps
  • Some complaints of attending staff not being available despite booking

Another popular day spa in Glasgow is the Savannah Beauty Centre. Off the bat, we’ve noticed that many of their clients are regulars because of the top-notch service they receive from the staff here.

We think this is so because their therapists and aestheticians are all regularly trained. This, in our opinion, ensures the standardised quality of service regardless of who your attending staff is.

We contacted several of the spa’s past clients that shared praises for the staff members’ professionalism and friendliness.

As for their treatment selection, we like that they offer several kinds of facials, eye treatments, massages, and packages. So, there’s something for virtually anybody, even men.

We were impressed that they offer Gent Treatments as we have yet to see this become popularised in many other salons. Their exclusive male-only services include massages, waxing, and facials.

The day spa is best known for its waxing services, which we’ve heard aren’t painful. So, it’s no surprise that waxing is on everyone’s list of things to do when they make an appointment here.

Interested clients can easily book an appointment via their online booking system. Unfortunately, we heard several complaints about booking mishaps, so we suggest booking via phone instead to ensure that you speak with a staff member to verify your appointment.

While it’s great that clients can select their attending therapist or aesthetician, some clients weren’t told that their preferred attending staff wouldn’t be available. This, understandably, resulted in a poor experience.

It certainly wouldn’t hurt to notify clients of this in advance so that they have the option to reschedule.

On the bright side, it’s convenient that they’re open Mondays through Saturdays. Hence, you can pop by virtually any day of the week.

4. Soul Space

Pros

  • Holistic approach to treatments
  • Well-known for waxing services
  • Open until 9 PM on Wednesdays to Fridays
  • Multiple payment methods accepted
  • Open 6 days a week
  • Offers treatments for mums-to-be

Cons

  • No online booking system
  • Some expensive services
  • Irregular business hours

Known for its holistic approach to treatments, Soul Space is another well-known spa in the area.

They provide an array of beauty services, from mani-pedis to massages.

Many customers we’ve gotten in touch with say that their waxing services are stellar. Based on our experience, we weren’t left sore at all and our attending staff ensured that it was a comfortable experience.

We were happy to hear from other clients that the relaxation from massages were spot-on. From our observations, several have fallen asleep during sessions, which we think is representative of how effective and enjoyable the service is.

It’s also worth mentioning that they offer treatments for mums-to-be. This is another popular treatment because of the gentle and soothing massages are known to alleviate soreness.

Here’s some bad news though: we think that some of their services are quite expensive. Nevertheless, they offer several promos worth exploring if you’re looking for a good deal.

Unfortunately, it’s quite a bummer that they don’t have an online booking system. So, you’ll have to phone them to schedule an appointment.

On the brighter side, they’re open from Tuesdays to Sundays, so you can pop by at your earliest convenience. What’s more, they’re open until 9 PM Wednesdays through Fridays for evening appointments.

Though, keep in mind that they have irregular business hours, so double-check before booking.

As for payments, it’s handy that they accept multiple payment methods. These include DragonPay, AMEX, GooglePay, Visa, and Mastercard, among others.

Pros

  • Provides treatments for men
  • Facilities are spacious, modern, and well-kempt
  • Offers an array of treatments and packages
  • Multiple payment methods accepted
  • Open daily
  • Offers treatments for mums-to-be
  • Clients can select attending staff

Cons

  • Quite pricey
  • Often fully booked

With several locations across Scotland, PURE Spa & Beauty is another well-known name in the spa industry for their extensive selection of beauty treatments for men, women, and expectant mums.

These include different kinds of massages, facials, and body treatments, among others. They’re also popular for their half-day and overnight packages, which we think are great for gifting, couples, or hen parties.

As for their facilities, we love how modern and well-kempt their spa was. It’s also worth mentioning that their spa can accommodate quite a number of clients, so you won’t have to worry about squeezing in.

Even so, they’re often fully booked despite being open daily. We also think that this high demand sometimes causes their staff to make booking mistakes.

Nevertheless, we suggest phoning in to ensure they’ve got the details of your appointment right. Speaking of booking, you can easily do so online and even pick out your attending staff, which is great for extra picky clients.

However, we have to admit that they’re on the pricier side. Even so, we like that they have several seasonal offers worth checking out if you want a good deal.

They also accept several payment methods such as Visa, Mastercard, and ApplePay. So, you won’t have to worry about not having any cash on hand.
