Pros
- Well-known therapist
- Gives a comprehensive brief on each treatment
- Screens clients beforehand to provide accurate treatment options
- Reasonably priced
- Open 6 days a week with long business hours
- Free parking is available nearby
Cons
- Often fully booked due to popularity
- Relatively small team
Aberdeen Massage Therapies is operated by Andy, who’s well-known for his “magic fingers”. For many, Andy’s skills remain unmatched, which is why we weren’t surprised to find him fully booked quite often.
Many clients see him regularly to help with muscle pain and relaxation. So, finding an open slot may be challenging for some, especially because of limited staffing.
On the bright side, Andy offers various treatment options, from deep tissue to hot stone massages. If you’re unsure of what to get, we like that Andy also gives clients a comprehensive rundown of what to expect during their session.
We found his approach to treatment assessments unique. In particular, clients will have to go through a brief screening before being able to book an appointment.
Here, questions about your stressors, conditions, and the like are asked. We like how thorough Andy is with getting to know each patient to be able to advise the best treatment option.
After skimming through his selection, we find his rates reasonably priced. Considering the quality of his service, we think his rates are too good to be true.
We also like that they’re open 6 times a week with long business hours. Hence, they’re a great option for those looking to have a quick relaxing massage before or after work.
For convenience’s sake, we thought we’d mention that they have free parking at the rear end of the building. So, you won’t have to worry about where to leave your vehicle.

Pros
Cons
The Granite Spa is well-known for its use of Orli massage oil and aromatherapy candles for their treatments. In our opinion, this doesn’t just promote relaxation, but luxury, too.
We think it’s worth mentioning that they offer an array of spa packages starting at £79 for various treatments, from facials to massages. Hence, it’s no surprise that many clients hire them for their hen and bridal parties.
While we did find the cost of their packages quite the steal, we found the cost of their individual massages on the pricier side.
Though, we think this may be a small price to pay for the A+ customer service you’ll receive. In our experience, nothing was too much of a hassle for their staff.
From the moment we set foot into their parlour, there were friendly faces and accommodating staff all throughout our stay.
Apart from that, we think their facilities and equipment are top-notch, which made the treatment all the more relaxing.
It’s great that they’re open daily and as late as 8 PM on some days. In our opinion, they’re easily accessible for anyone looking for late-night “me time”.
However, slots tend to fill up quickly due to their popularity. So, we highly suggest booking in advance.

Pros
- Staff are trained in traditional Thai massages at WatPo
- Well-known for knowing where to apply the right pressure
- Affordable prices
- Quick response time
- Free nearby parking available
Cons
- Only accepts cash payments
- Limited massage treatment options
Authentic Thai Massage & Therapy is operated by Anchalee, a professional massage therapist. She received her training and education at the WatPo, a traditional Thai massage school.
In our experience, Anchalee is highly skilled in her craft. Many of her clients can vouch that she knows exactly where to apply the right amount of pressure to iron out stubborn knots.
Hence, some opt for two-hour long sessions while others regularly visit. We find it easy to make appointments as they respond quickly to any enquiries.
With that said, it’s worth highlighting that they perform their massages on a mat on the floor instead of a traditional table. While this may be new to some, we think this setup gives their therapists more leverage and mobility.
However, we did find their selection of treatments a tad limited and would have liked to see more variety.
On a brighter note, we think their staff are well-trained and accommodate each client’s preferences. We believe this makes each session worthwhile.
Visiting their parlour also won’t break the bank as their rates are surprisingly affordable, especially given the stellar treatment.
To boost accessibility, it’s great that they have free nearby parking. So, clients won’t have to stress about where to park their vehicles.
However, it may be troublesome for a few that they only accept cash payments at the moment. So, make sure you don’t forget to have cash on hand when you visit.

Pros
Cons
For those in need of a thorough massage, we highly suggest checking out Kinnaree Traditional Thai Massage. They’re known for having strong massage therapists that’ll leave you feeling brand-new.
Don’t be too alarmed, though. They begin firm and gradually build pressure to minimise discomfort while listening to your body as they go.
To make things better, they have a relaxing atmosphere with calming aromatherapy. Hence, it’s no surprise that many fall asleep during their sessions.
It’s also worth noting that we think their fees are competitively priced. In our opinion, their costs are well worth the kind of care you’ll receive.
However, we think that they have quite a few massage options. We would have wanted more variety to choose from.
Unfortunately, we heard a few complaints about their staff asking for tips rather forcefully, which made a few clients uncomfortable. We hope their administration has a word with their team about this behaviour.
On a brighter note, it’s great that they’re open 6 days a week and until 7 PM. So, they’re a viable choice for those looking for some late-night relaxation.
They also have bike and nearby car parking available at Chapel Street. So, you won’t have to stress about parking far away.

Pros
- Offers a wide variety of massage treatments
- Offers massage courses
- Has 2 locations in Aberdeen
- Offers several promotional offers
- Has an app for easier booking
- Multiple payment methods accepted
Cons
- Rather pricey
- Quite long waiting times
- Several complaints about booking mishaps
PURE Spa & Beauty offers a wide selection of massage treatment options, from Swedish to Indian head massages.
Though, what caught our eye was their vegan massage. Their therapists will use several natural and deeply-conditioned oils for a 100% vegan massage.
Apart from that, we hear that their hot stone and deep tissue massages are among their most popular options.
Did we mention that they also offer massage courses? We think this is great for those who’d like to take it up a notch and learn the ropes of performing massage treatments.
Unfortunately, we did find their rates rather pricey. Though, they offer several promotional offers every now and then, we suggest keeping an eye out for these.
As for accessibility, it’s worth noting that they have 2 locations in Aberdeen – Union Square and Cults. So, you can opt to visit whichever site is closest to you.
Unique to them is that they have an app which allows for faster bookings on the go. To boot, they accept several payment methods such as Google Pay, Apple Pay, and Dragon Pay, among others.
However, we have to warn you that there have been several complaints from customers about booking mishaps.
Apart from that, given their popularity and demand as an all-in-one beauty parlour, they can get quite busy. Hence, a few customers we’ve contacted mentioned that there are sometimes long wait times before you’re seen by their staff.
