Ivy Natural Health & Beauty is definitely one of our go-to spots in Edinburgh for an exceptional facial treatment.

We noted that their range of facial services is seriously impressive – from the CACI facials known for their non-invasive facelift benefits to the Eminence facials, which use organic skincare products.

Their friendly and knowledgeable staff clearly know their stuff too. Rachael, one of their facialists, was frequently mentioned by clients we interviewed for her ability to make treatments both effective and incredibly relaxing.

When we chatted her up, we were happy with the way she explained each step of the process, making sure that we’re comfortable and well-informed.

If you’re eyeing combo treatments, their other services include waxing, massages, lash and brow treatments, Shellac, and laser hair removal.

On the flip side, some services are on the pricier side. Add to that, it can get quite busy, and you might have to wait a bit even with an appointment.

The Secret Beauty Garden stands out for their comprehensive service menu. Diving into their facials is just wow; they have it down to a fine art. Specifically, the Medik8 Facial really caught our attention.

We were introduced to its process, a 30-minute treat that includes everything from cleansing to mask application. But don’t get us wrong; it’s quick, and you might crave more once it’s over.

Beyond facials, they also have massages, manicures, pedicures, laser hair removal, and a lot more. Given these, we’re not surprised the prices are on the higher side.

Moving on, we noted the full hour option comes with extra pampering, like a steam treatment and more massage time—essentially what you need to feel utterly rejuvenated.

When it comes to the welcoming process, we were happy with how the staff went above and beyond to make us feel at ease. Their customer care is top-notch; consultations are thorough, helping tailor treatments to specific skin needs.

Not to forget, we were also able to speak to a few clients who feel the same – completely satisfied with the results.

PURE Spa & Beauty facials are seriously great, with various treatments that cater to different skin types and concerns. 

The HydraFacial Platinum 60-Minute came highly recommended since it provides thorough cleansing, exfoliation, extraction, hydration, and antioxidant protection.

Additionally, it combines multiple treatment benefits into one session, making it a well-rounded, high-value choice. Upon checking this treatment, we were able to check and note how clean and organised their treatment rooms were.

We got a glimpse of the nail bar, pedicure station, and even the Japanese spa bath as well – truly comprehensive! 

Another thing that we liked was the access to spa facilities when you book a treatment of 60 minutes, their great promotional deals, and even loyalty discounts.

Having the chance to speak to several clients who mentioned all things positive about them and their services is a major plus, too! Something that we’re just iffy about was peak times, which makes it quite crowded.

Amazingly tailored treatments

“Absolutely amazing spa! My spa started with an infra red sauna which was so relaxing. Then I had a hot stone massage and it was amazing, my therapist was so good, really got all the knots out of my back. Then I had a facial which was tailored to my skin type and it felt great! While my mask was drying I had a choice of neck and shoulder massage or a head massage! She generously applied the scrubs and lotions which made my skin feel so smooth! Overall such a fantastic experience I will recommend pure spa to all my family and friends! And I will definitely come back! Highly recommended!!”

Sarah Murray Beauty + Skin boasts an extensive range of treatments, from their Signature Facial Menu to advanced procedures like HydraFacial and Geneo. 

Their offerings include everything from microneedling with SkinPen to LED phototherapy with Dermalux.

We couldn’t help but feel impressed with their comprehensive skin consultation. With this, we’re sure that  treatment is tailored to our specific skin needs. 

Another plus is that we’ve heard nothing but praises for the expertise of Sarah and her team. They’re clearly passionate about what they do, which was also evident from our friend who tried one of their services.

However, not everything is perfect. We have to point out that some of their treatment prices are rather high. 

On a brighter note, we still appreciate the broad selection of services under one roof – a true one-stop-shop!

Sleeping Beauty Salon truly stands out as one of the top spots for facials in the area, and it’s easy to see why. 

What we loved most about this place was the way they personalised their service. Their therapists take the time to get to know your skin type and specific needs before recommending one of their many facials.

Speaking of facials, they offer a wide variety of them, including the Hydrate & Glow Facial for a 30-minute glow and hydration boost, the Signature Luxury Facial featuring a 75-minute luxury experience with massages and specialised treatments, and a lot more.

We also loved the salon’s spacious and beautifully designed premises, spread over two levels, including a dedicated relaxation room, which sets a really soothing mood right from the start. 

We just hope that they can offer frequent discounts or special offers to make everything affordable – after all, we couldn’t get enough of their treatments!

“I really enjoyed my first 02 facial, Rhiannon explained everything and had a lovely firm touch…. A welcome piece of pampering in my early retirement after years of working in the artificial atmosphere of a Hospital.

Skin feels lovely and I’m looking forward to using my lip serum.

The products smell divine!! Memories of Coca Cola ice cream floats came back at one point and the fruity smells were so fresh.
