That said, given their multi-tech offerings, they become a good pick for those looking to decarbonise heating and electricity—basically, an energy upgrade.

We also like that the services they provide are comprehensive and pretty much cover everything you need. From repairing common faults, such as inverter errors, to regular servicing to maintain performance, their crew is experienced and equipped to do it.

Speaking of money, we love that they offer competitive pricing, with 4KW 8-solar panel systems starting at around £6,300. Just note that they don’t have explicit grants or financing schemes, especially if you need a larger system. 

On the bright side, it’s reassuring to know that they offer a 25-year product warranty and a 30-year performance warranty on selected panels. This also shows the confidence in their products, especially with Scotland’s climate.

We’re impressed by the renewable solutions Eco Power Innovations offers, such as solar PV systems, battery storage, heat pumps, and even small wind turbines. In other words, you can maximise self-generated energy and reduce reliance on grid power.

And we’re glad that they’re an MCS-certified installer with consumer protection through the Renewable Energy Consumer Code (RECC), giving you assurance that installations meet UK standards. 

We also have to give them props for doing detailed and thorough surveys. You can expect them to do in-person assessments of your property to assess roof suitability and optimise system layout.

You’ll have to book your surveys during weekdays, though, since they’re closed on weekends. And their rates aren’t readily available online, so you’ll have to reach out to them first.

But hey, they point you toward Home Energy Scotland for grant and loan advice, which means you can understand the financial side early on.

What’s neat about RB Grant Electrical Contractors is that they have over 50 years of experience in electrical and renewable services. This also means they have in-house electricians who can install solar panels, EV charging, smoke/fire alarms, and wiring.

Their battery storage installation is an inclusion we like. They install it alongside solar PV to store generated energy for later use.

We also found that they’ve worked on different properties like flats and detached homes, showing that they’re adept at planning for roof orientation, shading, and structure. 

Another thing we love is the warranties they provide: 5-10 years for products, 2 years for workmanship, and 25 years for output. It’s a solid deal if you’re worried about post-installation issues and costs.

Here’s the thing, though: we’ve noted reports of unresponsiveness, especially with quotes and assessments, as well as slow turnaround times.

The silver lining? Their prices are quite competitive. For instance, 3kw systems start from £3,800, and around £4,200 for 5kw.
