Cons

  • Few instances of poor installations
  • Minor issues regarding difficulties contacting their representatives

If you like having many options, you’ll love The Blind Guy. We have to admit, our heads were spinning a bit after seeing their wide selection.

With 90% of their blinds Scotland-made, they have nearly everything, from traditional roller blinds to high-tech electric blinds. Apart from that, they have a tonne of collections, too, from full-height to bespoke-shaped panels.

For Velux® blinds, it’s worth noting that they’re an official supplier, so they’ll fit your frames snugly. They supply all kinds of Velux® styles, patterns, and colours.

We were also drawn to their selection of shutters because they possess water-resistant qualities, which make them great for kitchens and bathrooms.

For those with large windows, they have 89mm, 2000mm, 2400mm, 3050mm and 3100mm sizes in stock.

It’s also worth highlighting that their Vibe® Fabrics are responsibly produced. They even have the necessary accreditations to prove they don’t contain any harmful materials.

Though, what we found most unique about them is that they supply custom logo print blinds. In our opinion, that’ll be great cost-efficient publicity for businesses’ storefronts.

While it’s great that they also perform installations, we hear a few instances of poor jobs. Though, we do commend them for addressing these issues.

We heard from a few other customers that they had trouble contacting their representatives.

Hence, we suggest popping by one of their Glasgow stores to see the quality of their blinds. You can even take home a couple of samples to try out at home.

Pros

  • Offers an array of blind types
  • Uses Style Studio for custom visualisation services
  • Provides shop-at-home services
  • Stellar customer service
  • Quick turnaround time

Cons

  • Fabric selection is a bit limited
  • Quite busy due to high demand

Nova Blinds is a family-run business that takes designing your space to a whole other level.

We love how they use technology via Style Studio to help clients visualise what different blinds will look like on several window types in various rooms.

Clients can easily play around with styling their different products, from roller to mirage blinds, with various colours, fabrics, and patterns. Though, we did find their fabric selection a bit limited in comparison to others.

On a brighter note, clients can adjust the wall colours and add decor for a more personalised look. We also like that additional information on the products’ properties will be displayed.

Afterwards, clients can request free samples of up to 5 of their favourites. This way, they can see what their creation will look like at home.

Having said that, we were impressed that they even have shop-at-home services. We think this is incredibly convenient as you wouldn’t even have to leave the comforts of your home.

Many clients we’ve spoken to praised their stellar customer service, from initial inquiry to installation. We also hear they work efficiently, often finishing the job before the expected time frame.

So, it’s no surprise that many choose to have Nova Blinds perform installations throughout their homes.

Having said that, we do suggest calling in advance to schedule a home visit pronto as they’re quite in demand.

Pros

  • Has been in the industry since 1982
  • Offers Perfect Fit® which doesn’t require drilling or screwing
  • Has a Disney, Star Wars, and Marvel collection
  • Child safety is installed in all units
  • Blinds come with a 12-month mechanism guarantee

Cons

  • Sometimes experience a supply delay
  • Representatives sometimes forget to respond to queries

Rainbow Blinds has been a longstanding family-run business since 1982. They’re known for manufacturing, supplying, and installing high-quality blinds around the Glasgow and Central Belt.

They offer a wide selection of your traditional blinds, from roller to vertical. Though, what stood out to us the most was their Perfect Fit®.

Here, they use a special installation system that doesn’t require any drilling or screwing. In our opinion, this is a great let-friendly alternative for when you want to add some flare to your space without upsetting your landlord.

Did we mention that they also have a Disney, Star Wars, and Marvel collection? They have 12 unique designs featuring many childhood favourites, from Disney’s original Mickey Mouse to Marvel’s own Avengers.

Another thing we love about this company is that all their blinds come with a 12-month mechanism guarantee. We appreciate the protection this gives clients in case they have a faulty unit.

On top of that, child safety blinds are installed in all items. We appreciate the security standard they have in place, as this says a lot about their values as a company.

However, it was a bit disappointing that they sometimes experience a supply delay, which is quite inconvenient for customers. Nevertheless, we appreciate that their representatives do their best to appease the situation.

There were also a few instances wherein their representatives sometimes forget to respond to customer queries, which can be attributed to how busy they are.

Pros

  • Offer free at-home service for measuring and fitting
  • Provide free child-safe installations
  • All work comes with a full guarantee
  • Offer various window accessories
  • Multiple payment methods accepted

Cons

  • Doesn’t feature a showroom
  • Booking may take a few days

We were in awe at the wide selection Casa Blinds offers its customers. Unfortunately, we were disappointed that they don’t have a showroom at their Glasgow site.

In our opinion, this would have been a great opportunity for interested customers to see their products in various home settings.

However, we were impressed that they have a free at-home service for easy and convenient shopping. Their fully trained staff will perform free measuring and fitting and give you a no-obligation quote.

We think this is a great way to see whether the blinds fit the interior decor of your home.

They also perform child-safe installations, so you won’t have to worry about additional fees for this service.

We were also happy to find that all of their work comes with a full guarantee. We think this gives clients much-needed peace of mind.

Another added perk is that they offer window accessories such as poles and tie-backs. For extra discerning clients, it’s also worth noting that they can create accessories using the same fabric as your blinds.

We think this makes them a convenient one-stop shop to complete the look of your blinds. It’s also great that they accept various payment methods such as cash, BACS, Visa, and Mastercard for convenient shopping.

However, you may only get booked within the next few days, given their popularity. Though, we definitely think the wait is worth it given the quality of their services.

Pros

  • 50+ years of industry experience
  • Has a broad range of regular and specialist blinds
  • Free no-obligation quote and design visit
  • All blinds come with a full guarantee
  • Installers brief clients on how to operate the blinds
  • Provides at-home services

Cons

  • Blinds will take some time to arrive since they’re all custom-made
  • Doesn’t have ready-made blinds

Off the bat, we were blown away by the broad range of blinds that Apollo Blinds & Shutters carry. Having been in business since 1972, they’re no less than experts in the industry.

Furthermore, we found it impressive that they carried blinds that we couldn’t find elsewhere in Glasgow, such as the Duette® and Allusion® blinds.

Clients also won’t have to worry about poor-fitting blinds since they’re all custom-made. We appreciate that they’ll also enjoy a free no-obligation quote and design visit.

However, this does mean they take a while to arrive, which may be a tad inconvenient, especially for those looking for ready-made blinds.

Nevertheless, it’s great that all their blinds are professionally installed and come with a full guarantee.

We thought it was lovely that their installation team spent some time teaching their clients all the functions of their newly installed blinds.

In our opinion, this shows how important it is to their team that their clients enjoy their products trouble-free.

It’s also an added convenience that they provide at-home services. Here, they bring the blinds to you so that you can choose which best fits the aesthetics of your home without setting a foot out the door.
