Pros

  • Online and physical shop
  • Offers same-day delivery for orders placed before 12 PM
  • Specialises in designer funeral flowers tributes
  • Standard local delivery fee of £5.50

Cons

  • Lacks information on delivery details
  • Limited payment options

Over the last 30 years, Azalea Flowers’ speciality lies in designer funeral flower tributes. Considering this takes a lot of thought, it’s great that their florists are well-experienced when it comes to making heartfelt arrangements.

We also like that they already have a longstanding relationship with local funeral directors. We think this makes coordinating between the two a lot easier.

As for value, we think that £30 isn’t bad for a lovely bouquet. Clients can even opt to add little trinkets such as balloons, greeting cards, and teddy bears, among others for a small fee.

Regarding delivery, it’s worth noting that they offer same-day deliveries for orders made before 12 PM and can even do pick-ups from the store with a 2-hour notice.

We were pleasantly surprised to find that they have a standard local delivery fee of £5.50, considering they can deliver all the way to Woodside. This is definitely a reasonable price, in our opinion.

However, there’s little information on the courier service that they use, as well as other pertinent details of their delivery service. We think that it’s a tad bothersome that clients will have to enquire for this information.

It’s also quite limiting that the only payment option they accept for online orders is PayPal. So, we hope that they expand this soon and begin accepting other payment methods.

Pros

  • Multiple payment options available
  • Has in-house delivery drivers
  • Cut-off for same-day delivery is at 3 PM
  • Fresh flowers get delivered at least 4 times a week

Cons

  • Some complaints on missed deliveries

One of Four Seasons Florist’s strong points is that it has one of the freshest flowers in town. They source their blooms for several different suppliers, delivering at least four times a week.

Hence, it’s no surprise that the freshness of the flowers is directly reflected in the quality of the bouquets, even for next-day deliveries.

For same-day deliveries, we were pleasantly surprised that their cut-off time is at 3 PM. This definitely makes them a lifesaver for when clients are in a hurry as they can simply order via phone or online and pick the item up in a few hours.

Speaking of, they have in-house delivery drivers who know Aberdeen and the surrounding areas like the back of their hand. We love that they don’t use a third-party courier service since this guarantees that your blooms are transported with the utmost care.

Their delicate florals come in an assortment of bouquets, vases, and hatboxes. Clients can also choose to have these accompanied by greeting cards, teddy bears, champagne, and wine, among other ornaments.

We find their blooms quite affordable with the cheapest one at around £30. Clients can conveniently pay via PayPal and card, online or in-store.

A minor catch, though: we did encounter a few complaints regarding missed deliveries which have disappointed a number of clients. However, we do commend their staff for handling these well and compensating affected clients.

Pros

  • Specialises in wedding, funeral, and corporate floral arrangements
  • Multiple payment options available
  • Has 2 shops in Aberdeen

Cons

  • A tad pricey
  • Lacks information on delivery details

As one of the oldest florists on our list, Flower Vogue is a treasured Aberdeen gem that has been in the flower industry for the last 50 years. Their forte is curating bespoke wedding, funeral, and corporate floral arrangements.

For weddings, we love they can do almost any style, from timeless vintage arrangements to bright and bold colors. They even have a separate website dedicated to floral wedding arrangements here

As for funeral arrangements, it’s great that they have a selection of unique items such as eco-friendly casket tributes, natural pillows, as well as ‘mum’ and ‘dad’ tributes that you can’t really find anywhere else.

However, Flower Vogue might be more palatable for clients with a larger budget considering that their most affordable flowers start at £45. Even so, many of their clients don’t seem to mind, as many are returnees.

We were happy that many customers we’ve connected with claimed the flowers looked unreal. So, that goes to show much thought goes into creating a freshly curated bouquet.

It’s also convenient that they accept AMEX, Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, and GooglePay. Clients can opt to pay in-store or online, depending on their preferred method.

Since they have two shops in Aberdeen, they have enough manpower to handle a tonne of orders and deliveries.

However, we were a tad disappointed that there was little information on the specifics of their delivery service, like the delivery fee or whether they have a third-party courier.

Pros

  • Allows clients to curate their own bouquets
  • Offers same-day delivery for orders placed before 12 PM
  • Dispatches orders as early as 8:30 AM
  • Open daily

Cons

  • Doesn’t have add-on trinkets

Anastasia Florists’ most noteworthy feature would be that they allow customers to make bespoke floral arrangements themselves. We were truly blown away by this since most florists already have pre-made arrangements to choose from.

We think this definitely creates a fun and meaningful experience for clients, taking personalisation to a whole new level – especially for special occasions.

On the flip side, they don’t have any trinkets that clients can add to their bouquets like gift cards or chocolates. So, clients will have to purchase these separately. which we think is a bit troublesome.

On a brighter note, we like that their selection is quite affordable, starting from as low as £30 for a stunning bouquet.

Looking into their delivery services, we were pleased that they do same-day deliveries for orders phoned in before 12 PM to all of Aberdeen and the surrounding areas. They also have next-day delivery and can have orders dispatched as early as 8:30 AM.

Apart from that, clients also have the option to collect their purchase in-store as long as they’ve phoned in a 2-hour notice.

It’s also great that they’re open daily, so clients can come in any day of the week as most florists aren’t open on the weekends.

Pros

  • Flowers are known to last for weeks
  • Has a selection of flowers below £30
  • Offers same-day delivery for orders placed before 12 PM on weekdays and 11 AM on Saturdays
  • Offers morning and afternoon delivery time slots

Cons

  • Some items require price enquiries

Without a doubt, we think that Twiggs and Thistles’ best selling point would be that its bouquets are known to last for weeks. We were happy to hear from many clients that their bouquets not only smelled amazing, but brightened their homes for a long time.

This may be because they’re known to have quite a strict selection process, only choosing the freshest local flowers. To us, this shows that their florists take great care in crafting each bouquet.

We’re also fond of their wide selection of blooms at varying price points. We commend them for making sure that virtually anyone can afford to buy flowers for their loved ones.

They even have a collection dedicated to florals under £30 for those on a tighter budget. Even though they’re on the cheaper end, we like that they don’t scrimp on quality.

However, some items such as their corsages and buttonholes don’t have available prices. So, clients will have to call in to enquire about their pricing and availability.

On a brighter note, clients can add a number of finishing touches such as chocolates, cuddly toys, and balloons to make their gift extra-special.

For those in a hurry, they also offer same-day delivery services as long as clients phone in before 12 PM on weekdays and 11 AM on weekends. To ensure a smooth transaction, clients can also pay online via Visa, Mastercard, and AMEX.

It’s also fab that they offer morning and afternoon delivery time slots to cater to clients who want their flowers delivered at a specific time. This shows us that they even go out of their way to make events special.
