What we found really impressive about Safestore is that it has 3 storage facilities in Glasgow. Clients are definitely spoilt for choice here, having the option to choose whichever site is closest to their residence.

Storage unit sizes start at 10 sq ft to over 500 sq ft. This gives clients a lot of room for personal and business storage. 

We like that their website offers a glimpse of what their units look like, along with a few suggestions of what kinds of items clients can store in them. 

After browsing, clients can reserve a unit for free either by phone, online, or in-store and stop by later to move in. To boot, they don’t need to issue a security deposit either, which makes dealing with paperwork a whole lot easier. 

As for security, they have a fully-equipped 24-hour CCTV and alarm system in place. For extra-discerning clients, it’s important to note that only they are the sole key holders. 

However, clients can’t access their storage units outside of the facility’s operating hours. In our opinion, this is a tad inconvenient.  

We were also disappointed that they don’t offer a free collection service. Clients will have to enlist the help of a third party to help them move their items.

On a brighter note, they do offer free forklift services whilst on the premises.

Kangaroo Self Storage has 25 different-sized units, from 16 sq ft to over 500 sq ft. This makes them a great option for virtually anyone because of their wide storage selection.

We like that they offer virtual tours for potential clients to get a better idea of what the unit looks like. Potential clients can also book a viewing at their earliest convenience. 

We also want to highlight that they offer free collection service via their transportation service partner, Enterprise. We think this “extra” service offers a lot of convenience for their clients. 

For clients with large units, they’ll give clients a free 24-hour rental of a transit van from Enterprise to make moving smoother. To us, this speaks volumes about how they care about their clients and want to go the extra mile for them.

Should clients find that their unit isn’t working out for them anymore, they can opt to change for no additional charge.

It’s also great that they’re open 7 days a week, but here’s the hitch: unit owners can’t access their belongings after hours. This takes a negative toll on their accessibility rating. 

On a brighter note, each corridor has its own smoke and heat detector for added protection. Apart from that, the facility has a 24-hour CCTV installed along with a burglar alarm, and each unit comes with a personal padlock.

Hands down, one of the best things about Storage Vault is that unit owners have 24-hour daily access to their belongings. We find this to be a strong pro to beat since most competitors don’t give their unit owners unlimited access.

Another thing we liked was that there’s no fixed-term lease. So, clients can rent for as short or long as they’d like for temporary storage.

To add, clients also won’t need to issue a deposit to secure their unit. While this is great since clients won’t have to pay upfront, they’re still going to have to keep some cash just in case any damage is done to the unit. 

It’s also convenient that they have 2 facilities in Glasgow, so clients can choose whichever is most accessible to them. All units are also located on the ground floor, which will definitely make things easier for individuals with mobility concerns.

Unfortunately, there are a few holes in this seemingly-perfect facility. They have limited unit sizing, only going from 10 sq ft to 100 sq ft. 

So, they’re only palatable for individuals storing a few miscellaneous items and not really for individuals looking to store items while moving homes. 

On the bright side, if clients think that they’re in need of a unit change, they can do so without any penalties or additional charges.

Having been in the storage business for the last 30 years, GTW Storage has been a local favorite – especially among businessmen – for their tailored services.

In particular, they offer business storage solutions as well as document storage and archiving. To boot, they also offer shredding and destruction services, which we think will definitely come in handy for the disposal of sensitive items.

While they do have a minimum term contract, we don’t think it’s that big of a bother since it’s only for 1 month. Afterward, clients can choose to extend or cut their contract.

Another thing we liked was their selection of storage spaces, from their smallest unit at 8 sq ft to up to 200 sq ft. However, they don’t have anything bigger than 200 sq ft, which may be an issue for people looking to store bulkier items. 

To make it up, unit owners have 7-day access to their belongings along with assistance with deliveries and collections. We think this definitely deserves top marks for customer convenience.

Apart from that, they also offer drive-in facilities and customer parking. It’s also handy that they have virtually any packing items clients may need such as tape, strings, trolleys, and ladders among others. 

What’s great about Len’s Self Storage is that they have 2 facilities in Glasgow alone and  provide a wide selection of storage solutions, from personal units to warehouses for businesses. 

To boot, unit owners have 24/7 access to their units, which is definitely a big plus since most facilities only allow access during business hours.

Other pros include on-site parking, an equipped kitchen, and toilet facilities. To us, this shows that they truly want clients to have a smooth experience moving and collecting their items. 

Speaking of, we find it convenient that clients can choose to reserve a unit online, via phone call, or in-store. Then, they can simply move in at a later date.  

And here’s the real kicker: pricing is done by the day, so clients only pay for the days they consume. This is definitely a cost-effective option, especially since clients aren’t tied down with a minimum stay duration.

As for security, their facilities are monitored by 24-hour CCTV and alarm systems. For an extra layer of protection, they even have roaming guards. 

Unfortunately, they don’t offer a free collection service. To compensate, they can arrange a portering service instead. 

They also house a number of packing materials that clients can purchase such as boxes, bubble wrap, locks, and more. This makes for added convenience for clients, who no longer have to worry about procuring these items elsewhere.

S1 Storage is a company that provides clients with versatile and well-covered storage space and containers for both personal and commercial purposes in various surrounding areas such as Dumbarton, Alexandria, Renton, and Bonhill among others.

We like that their containers are well-secured when it comes to their facilities since not only do they offer 24-hour CCTV footage but also LED lighted containers along with high-security padlocks.

Aside from this, interested clients can also easily book their services online on their website to which clients only need identification and utility bills within 3 months of their booking.

Note though that rates of their packages aren’t readily available on their website to which interested clients may need to inquire further for more information on this matter.
