Pros

  • More than 16 years of industry experience
  • Award-winning clinic
  • Offers 2 types of fixed braces
  • Also offers removable cosmetic braces
  • Has payment plans

Cons

  • Initial consult does not include scans or pictures
  • Reports of Cfast services lacking quality

Kalyani Dental Lounge is one of the top dental clinics that offer braces in Glasgow. One of the reasons is because they have 16 years of industry experience.

Not only that, the clinic has also garnered various industry awards, which is impressive. These include Dentistry Awards’ 2007 Best Young Dentist and What Clinic’s 2015 Customer Service Award.

They are also members of the Association of Dental Implantology (ADI) and the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and the International Team for Implantology, which boosts our confidence in their credibility.

They are also known for their lounge-like office. Instead of your usual clinical-looking dental office, the clinic offers a more classy vibe with its dark wood touches, white and red walls, and gold finishings here and there.

They offer two types of fixed braces: Six Month Smiles and Cfast. A patient’s teeth can be straightened in only 3-4 months, and the average treatment time is only 6-7 months.

For those on tight budgets, they also offer various payment plans. One can spread the cost of treatment over a period that suits you – up to five years!

One downside that is unlike other clinics, their initial consultation does not include scans or images.

Also, some patients were not satisfied with their fast services. Apparently, they were informed that they needed to come off even though some of their teeth were still rotated, so they had to go somewhere else.

Pros

  • Offers Insignia Fully Customised Braces
  • Also offers Damon Clear Self-ligating Braces
  • Has functional and removable braces
  • Has Vivera retainers

Cons

  • No finance options
  • Reports of aggressive upselling

Orthodontic Lounge is another top dental clinic that offers braces in Glasgow. This clinic promises to deliver state-of-the-art orthodontic treatment using cutting edge technology.

One unique type of brace they offer is their Insignia Fully Customised Braces. This is a tailored brace system preconfigured accurately using an intra-oral scanner, ensuring a very consistent fit.

For those who prefer elastic-free braces and want to be discreet about it, you might want their Damon Clear Self-ligating Braces. This type of brace delivers low-friction, optimal tooth movement using customised Copper Nickel Titanium.

They also offer a range of Functional and Removable Braces. This is a great option for those concerned about the accuracy of the fit, ensuring the highest chance of treatment success.

Another interesting service they have is Vivera. This is for those looking to wear the thinnest, most comfortable retainers in the market.

Unfortunately, they do not offer finance or payment options unlike other dental clinics. So, if you want braces from this clinic, you’d have to do it out of pocket or use alternative means of financing.

Also, some patients reported that they experienced aggressive upselling from their dentists. Apparently, they kept trying to offer add-ons such as fillings even though patients made it clear that they only had enough money for the actual braces.

Pros

  • Free 30-second Smile Evaluation
  • Caters to patients of all ages
  • Offers Clear Fixed Braces
  • Has unique lingual braces
  • Also offers mini braces
  • Has various finance options

Cons

  • Closed on Sundays
  • A bit pricey

Park Orthodontics is another good option if you want dental braces. The clinic is dedicated to creating confident and beautiful smiles not just for adults, but for teens and children as well – making it a family destination for dental health.

If you want a speedy and free consultation, they offer an online 30-second Smile Evaluation. You can even do this from the convenience of home, which is quite convenient!

For adults who don’t want their braces to look too obvious, they’d be happy about their Clear Fixed Braces. This virtually invisible option is quite popular amongst adults.

They also offer unique lingual braces, which we think are quite impressive. Instead of being placed at the front of the teeth, these are less visible since they are placed behind the teeth.

A unique option they offer is their mini brace. For those who only need minor corrections, this innovative teeth-straightening treatment might be for you.

Lucky for those who are looking for finance options, they offer as low as 0% APR representative. They can also cover any treatment which costs over £350 and up to a maximum of £25,000.

Sadly, they are closed on Sundays, which is typically one of the days people like to go out.

They are also a bit pricier compared to other clinics. For instance, they offer traditional metal braces at £3750, while this is being offered at a lower cost elsewhere.

4.  Infinity Smiles

Pros

  • Offers free consultation
  • Affiliated with the British Orthodontic Society
  • International members of the American Association of Orthodontists
  • Specialises in braces for kids
  • Offers Spark Aligners
  • Also has Twin Block Appliance

Cons

  • Fully-booked up months in advance
  • Unable to handle brace-related emergencies

Infinity Smiles is another Glasgow-based dental clinic who’d be happy to install your braces. They are British Orthodontic Society members, as well as International members of the American Association of Orthodontists.

Parents, you might want to take your kids to this clinic. They are willing to work around your kids’ busy schedule and can even monitor their treatment from home, which we feel is quite convenient.

A one-of-a-kind service they offer is their Spark Aligners. This transparent orthodontic treatment looks like ultra-thin sports mouthguards, and they are thinner and clearer than other aligners on the market today.

They also offer the Twin Block Appliance option, which we recommend if your jaws and teeth are not aligned. This functional appliance is used to push the lower jaw forward in order to align it with the upper jaw, providing you with a great smile.

One downside to this clinic is that their appointment slots tend to easily be filled up due to their popularity. So, be sure to secure a booking a few weeks or even months before your desired date.

Brace-related emergencies aren’t their strongest suit, either. We wouldn’t recommend going here if you need dental attention urgently.

5. Giffnock Orthodontic Centre

Pros

  • Complimentary consultation with free X-rays, photographs, and models
  • Offers white braces
  • Offers various finance options
  • Wheelchair- and pram-accessible
  • Has onsite parking

Cons

  • Pricier options
  • Reports of rude and lazy receptionists

Giffnock Orthodontic Centre is another well-trusted dental clinic in Glasgow for those who want braces. They are members of the British Orthodontic Society and the British Dental Association, which means they’re quite stringent about the calibre of their work.

They also offer free consultations, but unlike other clinics, they also offer free X-rays, photographs, and models, which we appreciate.

For people who prefer a more subtle look, they offer clear braces. These are made from tooth-coloured ceramic, making it a great option for self-conscious patients.

They also offer various finance options for those who need a bit of financial help. Patients can conveniently spread the cost of treatment interest-free for 6, 10, 18, or 24 months.

We also commend them for being wheelchair- and pram-accessible unlike other clinics. Those who use wheelchairs or those who need to bring their babies with them would have no trouble entering this clinic.

Not only that, they also have on-site parking, which is rare. This is great for those who use their cars to get around.

Sadly, they are comparatively more expensive than other clinics. Traditional metal braces would set you back £3200, while other clinics offer this type at a lower price point.

We were also disappointed to hear about some of their rude and lazy receptionists. Apparently, they seemed unhappy and bored talking to people, and they made some patients feel unimportant.
