Top 4 Aberdeen Acupuncture Clinics for Pain Relief and Wellness
When I properly started my wellness journey, I tried the lot—from brutal hot yoga sessions to ventosa cupping. I was on a mission to relieve stress and tension, but nothing was hitting the mark. Then, I finally booked my first acupuncture session, and honestly, it felt like my whole body just hit the reset button.
Trust me on this one: once you get over the initial wee fear of the needles, it’s far more relaxing and calming than you’d expect. Somehow, I always manage to walk out of each session feeling grounded and recharged.
No wonder this ancient art has stood the test of time. They definitely were on to something back then! So if you fancy taking a break from all that modern wellness faff and want to explore some traditional healing techniques, here are some of Aberdeen’s best acupuncture clinics worth checking out!

Nature’s Way Therapy, founded in 2003 by Qing Zhang, a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) practitioner with over 20 years of experience. What we appreciate is that Qing takes a personalised approach, focusing on holistic techniques that treat the root cause of your discomfort and not just the symptoms.
Her acupuncture sessions can help with all sorts of issues, such as stiff neck, hip problems, and joint pain, to name a few. To be honest, you can tell she genuinely cares about helping her patients get back to feeling like themselves again.
Another plus is that her needles are fine, at just 0.1mm to 0.4mm, which is perfect for scaredy cats like myself. You may feel some uneasiness about the needles at first, but Qing is gentle, so you’ll feel relaxed before you even realise it.
But here’s the hitch: Nature’s Way Therapy is popular, and because of this, scheduling an appointment can be tricky. Thankfully, they do their best to fit you in, but it’s definitely worth booking ahead.
Helped me so much
“I had acute nerve pain in my neck, shoulder and arm- was seeing a physio but felt like things were worsening. After my first cupping session and acupuncture I was in less pain, felt battered and bruised but then great relief, couldn’t lie on my front as pain was so intense, with the cups on, I lay and was ‘sucked’ for 20 minutes, few weeks later I came back for second session, less intervention was needed, the pain has gone. I feel free. Going back to beautiful basics, massage, drawing good energy to the damaged area, so grateful that I had the cupping and sessions, helped me so much when I was at my physical lowest 🙏🏻”

Excellent treatment and care in a very clean environment
“After hurting my knee, my son recommended Qing @ Natures Way. After 3 visits with acupuncture, cupping and massage, my knee is now feeling great. I was very skeptical to begin with but can highly recommend these treatments. Excellent treatment and care in a very clean environment.”

The Riverside Chiropractic Group is a multi-disciplinary health centre offering a mix of treatments, like acupuncture, massage, and sports therapy, and more. Since acupuncture tends to work best alongside other treatments, Riverside makes it easy to get all-around comprehensive care in one place.
They provide tailored treatment plans, which is great if you suffer from sports injuries, are recovering, doing preventative care, or just want to improve your general wellness.
If you’ve got a busy schedule, it’s also worth noting that Riverside operates quite long hours for a clinic, including evenings and some Saturday hours. This is a plus in our book as it’s easier to fit in sessions for busy bees like me who don’t get to clock out until 5 PM.
Unfortunately, because Riverside is such a well-regarded multidisciplinary clinic, there are certain time slots and particular practitioners who may be tricky to book due to popular demand. That said, be sure to book your sessions well ahead of time.
I have been relieved of much of the leg and lower back pain
“I have been having regular massages and acupuncture sessions this year with Esther and the treatment is first class. I have been relieved of much of the leg and lower back pain I suffer due primarily to my age. I would recommend the practice to anyone in need of pain relief , without hesitation. Many thanks Riverside group.”

I would highly recommend the clinic
“I visited the clinic twice so far for chiropractic treatments with Dr Eloff. He was very quick to diagnose the causes of my back pain and suggested a detailed treatment plant consisting not only of chiropractic, but of acupuncture, sports massage and exercises. My range of motion saw an immediate improvement after the first session and with each subsequent time my mobility and pain get better. I would highly recommend the clinic for anyone looking for a multi-pronged approach to physical therapy!”

One thing we really appreciate about ER Physiotherapy is that they’re open daily, which is perfect if you’ve got a busy schedule and need a bit of flexibility. You can easily pop in any day of the week to get your acupuncture done.
Speaking of, their prices are listed on their website, which makes it easy to plan ahead before booking. Setting an appointment is also straightforward via their website. That said, some practitioners can be in high demand, so it’s best to book ahead to secure a slot.
Another thing to keep in mind is that their acupuncture is done by physiotherapists focusing on musculoskeletal issues, so it’s a little different from a fully traditional TCM. They’re all certified, of course, but it’s definitely something to consider if you’re after a more traditional style of acupuncture.
Can already feel the benefits of the first session

Physioteka is another multidisciplinary health facility that offers a range of wellness services, from acupuncture to physiotherapy, which makes it a convenient spot to tick off all your health-related appointments.
Right from the start, it’s worth mentioning that their acupuncture sessions are priced slightly above average. In our opinion, it’s quite fair considering you’re getting a tailored treatment plan and care from a certified physiotherapist.
It’s also worth noting that their operating hours are slightly irregular, with some days they’re early birds and others night owls. Hence, it’s definitely a good idea to double-check their schedule before booking.
Always goes above and beyond
“I have visited Physioteka on multiple occassions and highly recommend their services – Lukasz is very knowledgeable & skilled and uses very advanced technics. He always goes above and beyond to accommodate all my requirements, he’s extremely prompt in responding to my messages and I always leave his treatment room with a smile on my face. Highly recommended!”

Very professional and would highly recommend
“Lucasz was very helpful and knowledgable in the two sessions I had with him. I had been experiencing muscular pain in my lower legs and lower back when running/ strength training, and after a one hour session of a mix of acupuncture and massage/ physical work in the muscles, the pain has yet to return! Very professional and would highly recommend!”
