Pros
- Known for his cinematic photography style
- Available 24/7
- Complimentary second photographer
- All-inclusive package
- Also handles family and pet photography
- Fun, friendly, and professional team
Cons
- Steep add-on prices
- Might be hard to secure a booking
Jonathan Addie Photography is a brilliant option if you want to capture your special moments with a cinematic twist, without too much posing.
We appreciate that they offer a complimentary second photographer for the busiest part of your big day, giving a more candid approach to your layouts.
His wedding package includes all the essentials, like pre-wedding snaps, prep, the ceremony, candids, group pics, portraits, and dancing. With such an all-inclusive package, there’s not much to complain about.
Plus, we found out that he’s worked with a bunch of cool cats like Form Digital, Forty Two Studio, Imagica, Teasmith Gin, and Ivory Grace Bridal Boutique. This shows his ability to adapt to different clients and styles.
He also does family and pet photoshoots, which are £100 and last up to three hours. We think this is perfect for capturing those special moments with your loved ones.
Lastly, he’s available 24/7, which is great for those with busy or irregular schedules.
Clients have stated that he was super fun and friendly during photoshoots, but still professional. Even though some of them were camera-shy, they were able to relax and enjoy themselves.
The biggest downside is that the add-ons can be a bit steep, with digital downloads costing an extra £550. However, many clients have said it’s worth the price for the quality of work he produces.
Finally, it might be a bit tricky to book Jonathan Addie Photography as he seems to be in high demand. But it’s worth giving it a go, because his snaps speak for themselves.

Pros
- Solid rep for capturing real, candid moments and natural, informal portraits
- Package includes a digital download and an online gallery
- An absolute gem to work with
Cons
- Comparatively limited range of services
- A tad pricier
- Requires a £350 booking fee
Chris Henderson is a cracking choice for those who want a snapper with a solid rep for capturing real, candid moments and natural, informal portraits. He’s been in the game since 2009 and has since honed his skills to produce top-quality work.
We appreciate that the studio offers a package which includes a digital download and an online gallery unlike other studios. Meaning, you can easily access your pics and share them with your mates without any faff.
On top of that, former clients stated that he was an absolute gem to work with. His chilled out style of photography was spot on, and he answered all their questions to make sure they had the best possible experience.
However, it’s worth noting that Chris has a limited range of services. So, if you’re after something specific or have certain requirements, it’s best to check with him beforehand to see if he can accommodate the request.
Additionally, his prices are a bit on the steep side. He charges £2000 for full wedding coverage from preparations to the dancing, while others charge around £1650.
That being said, his clients have raved about the quality of his work, so it seems you get what you pay for.
Lastly, Chris requires a £350 booking fee to secure the date, which might be off-putting for some. However, if you’re willing to invest in high-quality, candid photography, we think the booking fee is a small price to pay for securing his services.

If you’re looking for a photographer who can deliver top-quality work, then Clarke Joss Photography is definitely worth considering.
First, Clarke has an impressive track record. He was crowned the Top Tier Wedding Awards 2019 Photographer of the Year and a Masters of Wedding Photography Winner, which is pretty bloody impressive if you ask us!
On top of that, he was also asked to lead the photography for Nuart 2021, which shows how highly regarded he is in the industry.
His former clients have reported that he likes to keep the stiff formal shots to a minimum, and he’s got great banter too. Apparently, they had quite the laugh while working with him.
During their weddings, they said he captured every moment gracefully and moved without causing any interruptions. Overall, they felt very comfortable with him.
The studio also offers two wedding photographers, which means you’ll get more coverage of your big day.
Plus, he also offers a photo booth hire, which not all studios offer. This is a great way to get some fun and candid shots of your guests.
However, it’s worth noting that he requires a £300 booking fee.
Additionally, his pricing is on the higher side – at £2550 for the whole package, which might be a bit steep for some. But hey, you get what you pay for and with Clarke, you’re getting top-quality work from an award-winning photographer.

Pros
- More than 10 years of experience
- Competitive pricing
- Offers an hourly rate
- Also offers newborn photography
- Has a warm and welcoming demeanour and highly skilled
Cons
- Closed on weekends
- High booking fee
- Isolated complaints from parents of the bride
Dani Rose Photography is a top-notch option for those in the hunt for a photographer with more than a decade of experience.
First off, Dani’s competitive pricing is a massive draw. With the full deluxe package coming in at £2399 and including digital downloads, physical albums, mounted prints, and a second photographer.
For smaller weddings or evening coverage, she also offers an hourly rate of £300. This is ideal for those on a budget and only needs her for a couple of hours.
She’s also well-known for her newborn photography, thanks to her extensive newborn photography safety courses. You can trust that your precious little one will be handled with the utmost care and safety during the photoshoot.
Previous clients have stated that Dani’s warm and welcoming demeanour helped put them at ease. She was able to capture their chemistry effortlessly, resulting in stunning, intimate shots.
That being said, there are a couple of drawbacks to consider. First, Dani doesn’t do weekends, which could be a dealbreaker for some.
Secondly, she requires a hefty booking fee of £500, which might not be ideal for those who are working with a tight budget.
There have also been a few complaints that Dani didn’t take photos of the bride’s parents. It’s worth mentioning, however, that she generally tries her best to accommodate her clients’ requests and preferences.

Pros
- Over a decade of experience
- Shot weddings all over the UK and abroad
- Offers a Boomerang Booth
- Also offers micro wedding rates
- Brilliant, unobtrusive technique
Cons
- Steep package pricing
- Might be hard to book on short notice
We also think Calum Riddell Photography is the bee’s knees. With over a decade of experience, he’s shot weddings all over Scotland and even as far afield as Canada!
Calum’s got an ace up his sleeve: the Boomerang Booth. It’s a self-hire animated photo booth that produces super-fun, boomerang-style images that guests can save to their phones and share on Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram
The studio also offers micro weddings for only £250 per hour, with a minimum of 2 hours hire, for couples who want to have a smaller, more intimate wedding celebration. This allows you to still have the same high-quality photos without breaking the bank.
Past clients have stated that Calum made them feel at ease. This translated into some brilliant, candid moments that they’ll cherish forever.
His technique was unobtrusive, just like a fly-on-the-wall, and the end result was some real smiles captured in his stunning photography. They said he’s such a top bloke, you can’t help but feel happy around him!
However, his prices are through the roof, with a whopping £3200 for the full package. It might be a bit steep for some, but if you don’t mind paying a pretty penny, then Calum is the man for the job.
Due to his popularity, it might be a tough cookie to book him in advance, so you’ll have to get in quick.
