Another pro is their lightning-fast turnaround time. Apparently, they were able to fit the security system on the same day a client booked a consultation, which shows us that they value their customers’ time.

We also learned that they specialise in intruder alarms with smartphone integration. Having burglar alarms that can send images to our smartphones is actually quite brilliant and convenient.

They also offer CCTVs for residential and commercial properties. We can even view security cameras on a PC or through a smartphone app anywhere in the world!

At first, we did find it a tad tricky to secure a booking with them due to their popularity. So, make sure to book well in advance.

Also, some customers apparently had some minor communication issues when dealing with GLD Security. It wasn’t a biggie, but it did cause some confusion during the installation process.

Homeland Security also seems to be quite good with intruder alarms with internal and external CCTV cameras that link up with the alarm system. This means you can check your place if there’s an alarm and see if there’s any damage or not.

Moreover, the company provides a range of door entry systems to meet all domestic and commercial requirements. This includes video/audio entry, flush mounted monitors, keypad entry, and vandal-resistant options.

We’re chuffed that their services come at a competitive price. Their pricing seemed fair for the level of service they provided compared to other companies.

However, they’re closed on Sundays, which may not suit those who require services on weekends. 

Furthermore, they have a limited range of security systems, which may not meet everyone’s needs.

First off, they’ve got loads of accreditations under their belt, like being SSAIB registered  and Safe Contractor Approved. So, we knew right off the bat that they’re one of Edinburgh’s most credible security companies.

They offer a free quote, which is a massive help for potential customers on the fence.

Service-wise, they’re excellent. A customer shared that they managed to fit their intruder and smoke alarm system in under two hours with minimal disruption, which is impressive. 

No wonder they’ve got bigwigs on their client roster, which includes Samsung, KFC, Peter Vardy, Pets at Home, Aldi, and the British Heart Foundation. This proves that they’re trusted by some of the biggest and best businesses in the UK.

However, they’re closed on weekends. This could be a downside for people with busy weekdays.

Additionally, they do not offer 24/7 call-out services, which may be a drawback for some customers. In case of an emergency, customers may have to wait until the next working day to get assistance.
