5 Best Chiropractors in Aberdeen

5 Best Chiropractors in Aberdeen

How We Picked

Chiropractor

We first assessed the technical skills and the bedside manner of the chiropractors we visited. Doing so helped us rate their expertise and their ability to make clients feel comfortable.

Credentials

The years of experience of each clinic and their accreditations or recognitions were also looked at to help us measure their credentials.

Ambiance

Chiropractic clinics should help make their clients feel at ease, so we also checked out the design, amenities, and cleanliness of each place as well.

Add-On Services

We looked at the other services each clinic offers to know which ones could be one-stop solutions for one’s health and well-being.

Pros

  • Established over 37 years ago
  • GCC-registered and members of the British Chiropractic Association
  • Lovely and bright treatment rooms
  • Offers customised treatment plans
  • Does wonders with back pain

Cons

  • Closed on Sundays
  • Reports of appointments being cancelled on short notice
  • Slightly pricier consultation fee

Established over 37 years ago, Riverside Chiropractic Group certainly has the experience to provide top-notch chiropractic care.

It’s not surprising to find out that they’re registered with the General Chiropractic Council (GCC) and are members of the British Chiropractic Association. This means they’re qualified and trained to a high standard.

When we arrived, we were pleased as punch with their clinic. The rooms were lovely and bright, with delightful pops of purple that created a calming vibe and made us feel right at home.

We also appreciate their customised treatment plans that work for everyone, no matter their age or background. Whether you are a newborn, a centenarian, a weekend golfer, or a professional athlete, it seems they’ve got you covered.

We booked an appointment for our achy backs, and the treatment was brilliant! The chiropractic care we received was ace, especially when it came to tackling back pain.

Sadly, the clinic is closed on Sundays. This is a bit of a letdown, especially if you’re someone who works during the week and would prefer to have your appointments on weekends.

Also, some folks have said they’ve had their appointments cancelled at short notice, which can be a bit of a pain in the neck if you’ve already planned your day around it.

Lastly, they have a pricey consultation fee. At £50 to £65, it’s definitely on the higher end of the spectrum, especially when you consider that some clinics offer free consultations.

Pros

  • Established in 1979
  • Specialises in dealing with pregnancy pain and paediatric care
  • Free, no-obligation consultation
  • Modern, cosy, and calming vibe
  • Owner has special credentials and accreditations
  • Only clinic in Aberdeen with in-house digital X-ray and thermographic imaging
  • Friendly and skilled chiropractors

Cons

  • Comparatively limited range of services
  • Might be hard to secure a booking

Aberdeen Chiropractic Clinic is another fantastic option for anyone seeking chiropractic care. They’ve been around since 1979, and that boosts our confidence in their expertise in sorting out aches and pains.

We learned that they specialise in dealing with pregnancy pain, as well as treating kiddos. This is great news for expectant mothers or parents seeking chiropractic care for their young ones.

One thing we like about this clinic is that they offer free consultations. It’s a cool way to figure out if they’re the right crew for you before committing to the whole shebang.

We found the clinic itself to be both modern and cosy. Its neutral-coloured walls and light wood flooring lend to the warm and relaxing vibe of the place.

The owner, Eline, is a Paediatric Webster Certified Pregnancy vitalistic chiropractor, and she’s also an honorary president of Birth Forward, a non-profit NGO. This speaks volumes about her dedication.

We were also dead impressed to learn that this clinic’s the only one in Aberdeen with digital X-ray and thermographic imaging in-house. It means you can get a proper accurate diagnosis.

As for their treatment itself, we thought it was amazing. The chiropractors had a friendly approach and a skillful touch that left us feeling refreshed.

However, we noticed that they have a more limited range of services compared to other clinics in the area.

Additionally, securing a schedule may be a bit of a challenge due them being constantly in high demand.

Pros

  • Highly credible chiropractor
  • Easy-to-use online booking system
  • Chiropractor was friendly, approachable, and knowledgeable
  • Reduced back and shoulder pain
  • Offers personalised exercise plans

Cons

  • Closed on Saturdays, Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays
  • First consultation costs £70
  • Not wheelchair-accessible

Westhill Chiropractic Clinic is a solid option for those looking for chiropractic services in Aberdeen.

First, we learned that Matthew, the clinic’s chiropractor, graduated from the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic in 2012. He also holds a Pain Management MSc from Cardiff University.

In addition, Matthew is part of the British Chiropractic Association and is registered with the GCC, which shows he’s a pro in his field.

When we were booking an appointment with Matthew, we were delighted that it took us no time at all. Their online booking system was easy-to-use and convenient.

When we arrived, the place was dead tidy and had plenty of space. This made our visit more relaxing and chill.

Matthew himself was friendly, approachable, and knowledgeable, making us feel at ease throughout our session. We also noticed a major drop in our back and shoulder pain, so we reckon he knows his stuff.

We were also impressed by the personalised exercise plans that he gave us. It proved that he was really committed to helping us maintain our progress even after we left the clinic.

However, the clinic is closed on Saturdays, Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays, which may not be ideal for those with busy schedules.

Also, the first consultation costs a whopping £70 quid, which might put off folks on a tight budget.

Lastly, the clinic is located up a flight of stairs, and there’s no lift available. This may pose a challenge for individuals with restricted mobility.

Pros

  • Over 22 years of experience
  • Member of the British Chiropractic Association and the Scottish Chiropractic Association
  • Provides human and animal chiropractic care
  • Also an Applied Kinesiologist and Neuro Emotional Technique Practitioner
  • Offers relief for migraine and back pain

Cons

  • Tiny and cramped treatment room
  • Steep consultation fee

With over 22 years of experience under his belt, Dr. Les Hall has built a solid reputation as a top-notch chiropractor in the area. Les Hall Chiropractic in Aberdeen not only looks after humans, but our fluffy companions too!

Dr. Hall is also a member of the British Chiropractic Association and the Scottish Chiropractic Association, ensuring that he adheres to the industry’s best practices.

His expertise in animal chiropractic care makes him the perfect choice for pet owners in the area. Whether it’s a horse with back pain or a pooch with dodgy joints, he’s got the smarts and experience to give them a proper leg-up.

He’s also an Applied Kinesiologist and Neuro Emotional Technique Practitioner, meaning he’s got a few more tricks up his sleeve than the average chiropractor. He can address the emotional and neurological factors that contribute to well-being.

During our session, we were impressed by how he was able to provide relief from our migraine and back pain. He was able to pinpoint the root cause of our discomfort and apply the appropriate chiropractic techniques to alleviate our pains.

However, we did notice that the treatment room felt a bit cramped. We felt a bit like sardines in a tin can and found it difficult to move around during the session.

Moreover, we thought that the consultation fee was a bit steep compared to other chiropractic clinics around, which might put off some people who are on a tight budget.

Pros

  • Has been around for over 18 years
  • Has free parking
  • Spotless and vibrant clinic
  • GCC-registered and members of the British Chiropractic Association
  • Professional and knowledgeable chiropractors

Cons

  • Closed on weekends
  • Need to book appointments over the phone

Great Western Road Chiropractic Clinic has been around for over 18 years and provides a variety of services for everyone, from young to old. They specialise in neck and cervical manipulation, too.

We were happy that the clinic has free parking, which is a real bonus in the busy city centre. Finding parking can be a real hassle, so having a dedicated parking area at the clinic was a huge relief.

As soon as we walked through the door, we were greeted by a spotless and vibrant clinic that felt cosy and inviting. The atmosphere of the place was so chill that we didn’t feel jitters at all.

The clinic is run by Margaret and Tim, both graduates from Western States Chiropractic University in Portland Oregon, USA. They’re GCC-registered and members of the British Chiropractic Association, meaning they really know their stuff.

On top of these, Tim has also shared his knowledge with several groups, including Aberdeenshire Council and the Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) Group. This is a testament to his expertise in the field.

During our session, we found Tim to be very professional and knowledgeable, helping loosen our shoulder muscles and reduce pain. We were impressed with his ability to explain the techniques he was using and his attention to detail.

However, the clinic is closed on weekends, which may not be convenient for everyone.

Another inconvenience is that the clinic does not offer online booking. We had to make our booking over the phone, which was a bit of a hassle.
