Their impressive celebrity clientele includes renowned artists like Lionel Richie, Kylie Minogue, and Take That, alongside professional footballers and their partners.

Since they’re known for their ability to reconstruct and downsize clothing, our first staff tester presented them with a pair of worn-out black trousers. This held a special place in his heart since it was the pair he got married in.

He was really happy that they restored his trousers to their original condition. They managed to preserve its sentimental value while making adjustments to fit his new body shape.

He was also pleasantly surprised that they only charged £9 to shorten his trousers. Their competitive pricing, with trouser alterations starting from just £9-£14, allow customers to access their tailoring services without breaking the bank.

Tailoring Alterations, a well-established clothing alterations service, has been providing professional and reliable services for over 20 years.

We’re impressed to learn that Tailoring Alterations had been selected as the official Team Canada tailor for the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow 2014.

For those looking to revamp their wardrobe, Tailoring Alterations offers the opportunity to reorganise and remodel favourite designer or retro clothes to fit the new you.

They’re known for their expertise in handling denim repairs and alterations, including rips, tears, zips, new hems, and restorations. That’s why our female tester went here with three worn-out pairs of jeans.

Right off the bat, she was blown away by the warmth and friendliness of their team. Their welcoming smiles and genuine enthusiasm created an inviting atmosphere that instantly put her at ease.

But, what truly impressed her was their remarkable efficiency. Despite bringing in three pairs of jeans that were in desperate need of alteration, their skilled tailors worked their magic and delivered impeccable results in a mere three days.

She was also astounded by their speed and precision, turning her worn-out jeans into stylish, perfectly-fitted masterpieces.

Beyond garment alterations, they also provide made-to-measure curtains and alterations, allowing customers to add a personalised touch to their living spaces.

Conveniently located just five minutes from Glasgow city centre, accessing their services is a breeze.

Sadly, Tailoring Alterations is closed on Mondays and Sundays, which may require some planning when scheduling appointments.

We also heard reports of backlogs that may affect their ability to accommodate customers in a timely manner.

Unlike other tailors, they offer same day alterations and even a one-hour service upon request, which we think is incredibly convenient for those in a rush.

We’re also pleased to discover that they don’t limit themselves to traditional fabric alterations but also offer repairs and alterations on leather, suede, and fur. This versatility is a major advantage, especially for those with unique or specialty garments.

The team at Clark the Tailor impressed our tester with their attention to detail and customer service. They provided valuable advice and assistance when she wasn’t quite sure about the exact alterations she needed, taking the time to pin her garments.

Their alteration service is truly versatile, catering to her various needs. For instance, they were able to adjust a designer suit she purchased on sale, resize a fantastic vintage dress, and revive tired pieces from her existing wardrobe.

His & Hers Tailoring and Alterations has been a trusted establishment in the tailoring industry since 2006. They offer a range of services from bespoke tailoring to alterations and leather refurbishment.

Unlike other tailoring shops, they offer discounts for pensioners, which we appreciate. It’s always refreshing to find a business that values its customers, no matter their age.

Stepping in their tidy shop, our staff tester held high hopes for her beloved 1950s dress and her brother’s cherished kilt. Needless to say, she wasn’t disappointed.

For those with a penchant for vintage fashion, His & Hers is a hidden gem. With skilled hands and attention to detail, they flawlessly transformed her pink vintage dress, retaining its timeless allure while fitting like a dream.

As for the kilt, their craftsmanship was unparalleled, honouring the Scottish tradition with precision and personalization.

In a world where throwaway culture is prevalent, it’s heartwarming to know that His & Hers also offers a soft toy repair service. They understand the sentimental value attached to these cherished companions and work their magic to bring them back to life.

Convenience is key, and His & Hers doesn’t disappoint. With their dry cleaning service, you can have your garments cleaned and refreshed, all under one roof.

Affordability is another reason to choose His & Hers. With highly competitive prices – such as trousers being shortened for just £6 – you can enjoy professional tailoring services without breaking the bank.

As with any business, there are a few minor downsides to consider. His & Hers is closed on weekends, which may limit accessibility for those with busy schedules.

Additionally, for those with bulk orders, it’s worth noting that they have only one tailor available.
