Off the bat, what we liked most about CAS Duncan is that they provide a full range of plumbing-related services, from fixing leaky faucets to redoing bathrooms. 

Along with 50 years of industry experience up their sleeve, it is no surprise that they know what they’re doing. Hence, they’re a local favourite in Aberdeen. 

With that many years in the industry, they’ve also managed to make several friends along the way. In our opinion, having quite an extensive network helps them get the best resources and deals in the market. 

We also think this is an added convenience as clients won’t have to juggle multiple contractors and suppliers as it’s all within reach. 

To boot, they’re Gas Safe registered. So, we’re reassured that they adhere to all the necessary safety regulations and protocols. 

Although, we were a tad iffy about their “free” quotation. We thought it was a bit weird that inspections weren’t included, so clients will have to pay for this separately, but the quotation itself costs no additional pay.

As for convenience, we were disappointed to find that they don’t operate on weekends and don’t provide emergency services. So, if you’re stuck in a pickle on a Saturday, you may want to phone the other entries on our list instead. 

On the brighter side, many of their customers vouch for their professionalism and efficiency, getting the job done in no time without sacrificing quality. 

Pride Plumbing and Heating definitely takes pride in their workmanship, which is why we were impressed to find that they perform a wide range of plumbing services such as installations, servicing, and even heating. 

From boilers to underfloor heating, we think they’re a great option for a one-stop shop, especially since they’re open 24 hours daily. This extra convenience means that they’re also a viable choice for late-night emergencies. 

Unfortunately, we received a few complaints that it was difficult to get in touch with them while mentioning being stood up. 

While we think this could be attributed to the high demand for their services, we hope they get their schedules sorted out to avoid overbooking. 

It’s a nice bonus that they don’t charge a call-out fee, whether day or night. So, clients won’t have to worry about any extra fee except for the cost of their services. 

To boot, we were pleased to find that they provide a 12-month guarantee on all their services. On top of that, they also have full public liabilities insurance.

We think it’s excellent that they have extra layers of protection. This gives customers peace of mind should there be any unforeseen circumstances. 

What’s special about Aberdeen Heating is that they have a complete in-house team of specialists, from joiners to electricians. This, in our opinion, ensures comprehensive services from start to finish by just one company.

With that said, they provide a wide variety of plumbing-related services, from small maintenance work to full-scale bathroom makeovers. 

On top of that, they also provide maintenance checks to ensure any faults are caught early. We think this is a great value-adding service, especially for businesses looking for a reputable company to perform routine inspections. 

We were also intrigued by their power flushing service, which we hear is great for getting rid of erosion, sludge, and other gunk that has built up over time in your pipes.

To boost clients’ confidence in their skills and work, it’s worth noting that their staff are all fully insured, accredited, and qualified. We think this speaks a lot about how much they value beefing up their qualifications. 

Unfortunately, a few customers shared poor experiences with the staff. In particular, they complained about poor communication and behaviour from the technicians and receptionists. 

On a brighter note, we appreciate that they individually address each concern, hoping to come to a mutually beneficial solution. 

Established in 1996, AJM Plumbing has over 35 years of industry experience dealing with small leaks to full renovations. 

But what we found uniquely intriguing about AJM Plumbing is that they specialise in drainage services. It’s also impressive that they have several high-powered equipments in their van for even the most stubborn blockages while on a call-out.

In our opinion, this makes them a great option for when an ordinary plunger just doesn’t seem to do the job or for clients who need their plumbing system up and running at all times, like businesses, hospitals, etc.

We’re also happy to hear from some of their past clients that they work efficiently and cleanly. Many also mentioned that aside from efficient service, their rates were also quite reasonable. 

Another pro to this company is that they do virtually everything for their customers, from organising the contractors to sourcing materials. In our opinion, this perk definitely adds another level of convenience. 

So, it’s no surprise that many of their customers are returnees. However, we did receive word that some of their staff don’t turn up to jobs. 

We think this may be a result of overbooking due to high demand. We hope that their management gets this sorted out soon to avoid further hiccups.

Open daily and until late, Plumber Heat is the perfect solution for any late night plumbing emergencies. Hence, it’s quite common to find them on evening call-outs when most are winding down for the day.

We’re pleased to note that they offer a comprehensive array of small and large-scale plumbing services, from fixing minor pipe leaks to full bathroom overhauls.

Unique to them is that they can install Megaflo Cylinders, which is the latest technology in boosting shower power. We were impressed to find this service as it’s not every day you find a plumber that offers it.

As authentication of their expertise, it’s worth noting that they’re members of the Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineers as well as Gas Safe registered. 

To boot, they give out free no-obligation quotes. We think this is a great way to show their good side to interested clients without the additional pressure.

Meanwhile, we think it’s thoughtful of them to provide complimentary diagnoses for their regular customers. We think this is a considerate way of showing their appreciation for trusting in their services.

They take customer satisfaction up a notch by providing customers with lifetime warranties. We think this deserves a few points for client protection as they won’t have to spend on any faulty repair jobs. 

Whilst everything does seem brilliant, we were not happy to receive a few complaints about poor service. In particular, there have been a number of clients that claim to have not been satisfied with the work done while others complained about difficulties contacting them.
