5 Best Dog Daycare Centres in Scotland for Worry-Free Workdays
Leaving a high-energy spaniel alone in a flat during a nine-to-five shift is a fast way to lose a sofa cushion. I learned that during a busy Tuesday meeting, right before my pup decided my rug was a chew toy.
That’s why I compared council licences, daily rates and play setups across Scotland. I wanted dog daycare centres that keep anxious pups calm and wear energetic breeds out by home time.
Here are the best dog daycare centres in Scotland, and who each one suits most.
How much does dog daycare cost in Scotland?
Dog daycare in Scotland usually costs £20 to £40 for a full day. Regular cover three days a week comes to roughly £300 a month.
| Option | Typical price |
| Full-day daycare | £20 to £40 per day |
| Half-day daycare (up to 4 to 5 hours) | £15 to £20 per half-day |
| Monthly estimate (three days a week) | £75 per week or £300 per month |
| Five-day voucher bundle | Around £133 |
| Ten-day block pass | Around £264 |
| Second dog (same household) | £15 full day, £10 half day or 10% off |
| Collection and drop-off (dog bus) | £3 to £5 each way |
| Overnight boarding (separate service) | £25 to £45 per night |
How I Reviewed
Safety and licensing: I checked that each facility holds a local council licence, keeps its play zones secure, and uses trained staff. Leaving your pet with strangers takes real trust, especially with a nervous breed or a young puppy.
Play and rest zones: I looked for active play areas, nap schedules and separate spaces by size or temperament. Energetic puppies need room to burn off steam, while older or anxious dogs need quiet corners.
Commuter convenience: I compared opening times, half-day options and door-to-door pickup. Weekday drop-offs only work when the schedule fits around office hours and local transport links.
Extra services and terms: I checked which centres add feeding, medication, grooming or training, and where they add charges or limit what they cover. Hidden fees or strict liability clauses can turn an affordable day rate into a surprise.
1. Chilled Dawgz

Website: https://chilleddawgz.co.uk/
Address: Unit 48-49, Dalsetter Business Centre, 42 Dalsetter Avenue, Glasgow
Contact: 0141 944 9998
Hours: Monday to Friday: 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, Saturday to Sunday: Closed
Putting a tiny terrier in a yard full of bounding retrievers is nerve-wracking for any owner. Chilled Dawgz fixes that as Glasgow’s first fully licensed daycare centre for small- to medium-sized dogs under 20kg, so your dog can play with others of a similar size.
Beyond safe group play, the trained team handles on-site grooming and tailored in-house raw feeding. They also support toilet training for vaccinated puppies.
Since your dog comes home tired and settled, you can head straight to one of the dog-friendly restaurants in Glasgow for an easy evening out.
If your dog is anxious or older, they have you covered too. When I spoke to their staff, they walked me through the quiet rest areas and on-site Reiki sessions, both designed to build calm trust.
That said, they only accept dogs that are already well socialised.
They also don’t offer an outdoor walking service during daycare hours.

Really great doggy daycare service.
Really great doggy daycare service. My two love going there. Lisa, Nicola and Tony are lovely people and know all sorts about dogs and how best to care for them. I’ve had loads of excellent advice from them. The facilities (indoor and outdoor!) are clean, the dogs well-cared for and properly exercised. Thoroughly recommend this great service.

Chilled dawgs is an amazing doggy day care centre
Chilled dawgs is an amazing doggy day care centre. My little Rolo has been there since she was fully vaccinated at 12 weeks old, she will be 5 in May, this is her second home. She gets very excited as we pull up in the morning and just can’t wait to get in there. Lisa and her team do a fabulous service.

2. Station View Boarding Kennels

Website: https://stationviewkennels.co.uk/
Address: 8 Milrig Holdings, Kirknewton, West Lothian
Contact: 01506 881628
Hours: Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Finding a caretaker who won’t charge extra every time your dog needs daily pills or a custom meal plan is frustrating.
Station View Boarding Kennels, a three-generation family business in West Lothian, caters for special diets and gives medication during daycare at no extra cost.
You also want to know the place is properly checked. West Lothian Council inspects and licenses the facility every year under the Animal Boarding Establishments Act 1963.
The indoor kennels are clean, with in-floor drains.
Weather and capacity permitting, dogs staying all day also get extended time in a secure exercise area, which breaks up a long day in a kennel.
Plus, the staff are trained in emergency animal care.
However, their daycare relies on individual kennel accommodation, which might put some owners off

Would definitely use them again.
He’s been looking after them since they were 6mths old and they’re now 5. Never any problems getting them fitted in. Whether for a day visit or two weeks. They get picked up and dropped off, all at a convenient time. He supplies the food we feed and they’re walked often. Lovely clean, heated kennels. Thanks guys

3. Pawz&Co.

Website: https://www.pawzandco.co.uk/
Address: Waterlea Farm, Kilallan Road, Houston, Renfrewshire
Contact: 07877 978809
Hours: Monday to Friday: 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM
High-energy dogs need more than an empty room to stay out of trouble while you work. Out at Waterlea Farm in Renfrewshire, Pawz&Co. runs an indoor and outdoor setup with mind-stimulating activity centres and summer paddling pools.
They even offer private venue hire for dog birthday parties.
The schedule is just as thoughtful. They take half-day and full-day bookings from 7 AM, which suits early commuters heading into the Glasgow central belt.
Plus, overtired puppies get cranky, so the day builds in fixed nap times. There’s also a chill-out room with couches and beds for lazier dogs.
That said, their pickup and drop-off service only covers select postcodes, so check yours before you rely on it.

4. Woodside Boarding Kennels

Website: http://woodsideboardingkennels.co.uk/
Address: East Fortune, North Berwick, East Lothian
Contact: 07983 559942
Hours: Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Saturday to Sunday: 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Working from home with a restless working breed staring at your desk all morning is a fast track to guilt. At Woodside Boarding Kennels in East Lothian, owner Sandy has raised eight working dogs of his own.
He runs a daycare built around three proper walks a day.
Plus, they open on weekends too.
You can also book their full-day collection service, where the team picks your dog up for the 9 AM morning walk and drops them back after the 5 PM afternoon walk.
Not everyone wants a collection, though. A neighbour of mine in North Berwick drops her dog off with his own bed and bowls, so he can settle into an allocated day kennel between social sessions with the other dogs.
That said, each option comes with a trade-off. Skip the transport service and your dog spends downtime in a kennel, or use collection and drop-off and you pay extra transport fees.

Really a good place….
I am so happy to have a place my dog loves to go now and he is less stressed, more calm, listen, he also does not pull anymore on the leash. He is full of joy when saying you seeing your friends. He knows we’re he is going and enjoys it every time. I am so thankful for the slow transition and all went well. Especially the contract with other dogs the socialising, does our dog good. Really a good place….

Definitely recommend 💯 but remember to book early for holiday periods!!!
Indi has been holidaying at Woodside for quite a while now. She’s always excited to arrive, loves the staff and obviously has a great time with the other dogs. She’s happy, clean (and tired!!) when we pick her up. They’re always busy which is a recommedation in itself. Definitely recommend 💯 but remember to book early for holiday periods!!!

Hours: Monday to Saturday: Drop-off 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, pick-up 6:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Sunday: Drop-off and pick-up by 1:00 PM
Early shift workers often struggle to find a daycare open before 7 AM, especially if their dog needs a firmer hand with manners. Rowan Sands Pet Hotel in Fife opens for drop-offs at 6 AM from Monday to Saturday.
A dog trainer manages the place and pairs daytime care with behavioural training.
During the day, each dog gets a clean indoor and outdoor run and daily walks. They also join group walks where appropriate and spend time in the on-site exercise area during cleaning hours.
You can even add a natural dog treat box worth at least £35 for £20, which gives your dog natural chews throughout the day.
Just keep in mind that their terms make you responsible for any damage your dog causes to the facility, staff or other animals.
They also only accept liability for death, injury, or illness caused by gross negligence, so read the terms before you book.
