John Clark Motor Group is a family-run car dealership selling cars, vans, and motorbikes from well-known brands across Scotland. We think it’s quite impressive that they’ve been around for more than 40 years!

First, we appreciate the price promise that they offer. If a customer shows them a specific car from another dealership within a 60-mile radius, they will strive to beat its price.

They also sell a huge range of quality, high-end new and used car brands. Some of these are Audi, BMW, Volkswagen, Land Rover, Jaguar, and ŠKODA.

If you cannot afford to buy one of these cars outright, you’re in luck, since they do offer various finance options.

On top of these options, they also have a highly-convenient car and van servicing option wherein their trained technicians will take care of your vehicle. You can choose from a full service, a Ministry of Transport (MOT) test, or some new parts upgrades (e.g. tires).

In fact, you can even take advantage of their two-year servicing and warranty plan. For £29.99/month, Motorchoice Protect offers an unlimited number of repairs up to the purchase price, interest-free monthly payments, and roadside assistance.

We were also pleasantly surprised to learn that they work with two charities. Cornerstone assists those with learning and physical disabilities, autism, and dementia while VSA helps people with wellbeing challenges.

Not all dealerships are perfect, however, and this one is no exception. Customers mentioned some sales staff who seemed annoyed with their queries and others who kept offering a different auto from what they wanted.

Also, since they specialise in high-end new and used car brands, their cars are a bit pricier compared to other shops. However, customers really seemed to love the cars that they got from this dealer.

Another top car dealership in Aberdeen is Mitsubishi Motors. This is the only authorised Mitsubishi and SsangYong dealer in Aberdeen and Torphins.

For interested sellers, they can provide a free vehicle valuation. Using Mastersite Mitsubishi’s straightforward tool, they’ll be able to give an impartial and accurate valuation of your current vehicle.

You can also take advantage of their Mitsubishi Service Plan (MSP), which 90% of their customers do. This plan covers the first three full factory scheduled services of your car, including parts and labour, which would certainly help with your car’s upkeep.

One obvious downside to this dealership is that they deal primarily with the brands Mitsubishi and SsangYong. They are also closed on Sundays, so those available only on weekends should aim for a Saturday booking.

We think Park’s Motor Group is another great car dealership in Aberdeen. They specialise in top-quality new, nearly new, and used Honda cars.

For those who would like a weekend viewing, this shop might be a good option since they are open all week.

One unique option that is not being offered in other shops is their ‘Drive Now, Pay Later’ repair service. Not only can customers qualify for 0% for three months, they can also drive away with their newly-serviced car after paying only 25% of the service bill.

They also have Honda Service Plans, which we feel are budget-friendly compared to other service plans. For as low as £20/ month, customers can get free roadside assistance, access to Honda-approved technicians, and genuine Honda parts.

They also have various Economy Care packages, which are not being offered elsewhere. Priced from £129 up, these customer-friendly packages include oil/filter changes, 8-point electronic visual health check, free wash and vacuum, and more.

We do admire that this dealership is a Motability Premier Partner. If you own a Honda motability vehicle through the scheme, they’ll continue to assist you with affordable servicing and MOT reminders for your car.

Of course, their selection is limited to Honda cars. Since this is a quality manufacturer, customers also pointed out that they can be a bit pricier.

Sadly, we also heard reports of warranty claims being unfairly rejected. Some claims were rejected after their used cars broke down within two months, and they were told it was because they modified something even though they did not.

Gillanders Motors Ltd is another well-trusted car dealership in Aberdeen. In fact, they’ve been successfully operating for over 50 years, which we feel is a testament to their trustworthiness.

This car dealership holds an extensive authorised portfolio, which features high-quality Kia, MG, and LEVC cars. They also offer a solid 7-year factory warranty for these car brands, which is quite impressive.

For those looking to stay within their auto budget, you can choose from their various finance options. They offer different Annual Percentage Rates or APRs (0%, 7.9%, etc.), and it is only a matter of which APR you are qualified for.

This shop also offers several service plans which we think are quite helpful. Some of their benefits include inflation-proof servicing, access to by certified technicians, and the use of factory-authorised parts and fluids.

For Kia owners, they have the option to book a Kia service online 24/7, which we feel is highly convenient. Kia-trained technicians would assist these owners using the latest diagnostic equipment, and all genuine Kia parts come with a 2-year warranty.

Of course, the obvious downside is their limited brand selection. Those who want other brands like Jaguar or BMW would need to go elsewhere.

Aside from this limitation, this car dealership is also closed on Sundays. This is bad news for weekend viewers and buyers.
