Pros
- Third-generation family business that has been trading for over 50 years
- Member of the Glass & Glazing Federation
- Offers free quotations
- Works with a wide variety of glasses
- Offers a unique glass cat flap installation service
- Offers a five-year warranty
Cons

- Closed on weekends
D & N Glass Co is a third-generation family business that has been trading for over 50 years. Their impressive experience is probably why it is one of the top glaziers in Glasgow.
We like the fact that this glazier is a member of the Glass & Glazing Federation. The GGF promotes best industry practices and helps shape and enforce the highest technical, health, and safety standards.
They also offer free quotations for your home or business. This will allow you to check whether their services can accommodate your budget, and this could be a good jumping-off point as well for negotiations, especially for commercial glazing services.
Speaking of glazing services, we are impressed that they are experienced in handling various types of glasses. For instance, they handle patterned glass, double glazed units, greenhouse glass, wood burning stove glass, and more.
One glazing service that stood out to us is their glass cat flap installation service. Cat parents can hire them to install cat flaps into glass doors and windows, and you can choose from flaps being operated via microchip, infrared, magnet, or manually.
They also offer a five-year warranty for units glazed into UPVC, aluminium, and wooden frames. This coverage is pretty standard for low to medium-priced glass products and will certainly provide customers with peace of mind.
Sadly, some of their customers mentioned that they were unable to get in touch with anybody via phone. Others were also waiting to hear from them after receiving quotes, but no one called them back.
Also, unlike other companies who are open all week or open until Saturday, this shop is actually closed for the entire weekend. Thus, your projects should be booked during the weekdays, which might be inconvenient for some.

Pros
- Family business established in 1989
- No-obligation quote and no call-out charges
- No deposit required
- Said to be reasonably priced
- Open 24/7
- Offers 24 hour emergency glazing services
- Also offers 24-hour board-up services
Cons
- Reports of customers not receiving requested quotes
- Limited range of services
KC Glazing is another family-owned business that was established in 1989. Their impressive 40 years of experience make them stand out in the glazing industry.
We think it is considerate of them to offer not just no obligation quotes, but no call-out charges as well. On top of that, no deposit is required, which we are sure customers would appreciate.
Speaking of their customers, they mentioned how reasonable their prices were. They were said to offer highly competitive prices compared to other glazing companies, and these are with the same types of products and inclusions.
They are open 24/7, which is highly-convenient for customers with busy or irregular schedules.
Being open 24/7 puts them in the position to offer unique services. For instance, they currently offer 24-hour emergency glazing services for domestic and commercial properties.
In addition, they also have a 24-hour boarding service. Boarding up can help make your property safe and secure, and they offer double glazing board-ups, single glazing board ups, and UPVC window board-ups.
Since they are open 24/7, it’s a bit surprising to hear that customers did not receive the quotes they requested.
Also, compared to other shops, their services are a bit limited in range. For customised items such as cat flaps or shower screens, you would need to go elsewhere.

Pros
- Company was founded in 1969
- Offers free delivery of samples
- Specialises in splashbacks
- Also specialises in shower screens
- Has a 10-year guarantee for mirror doors
- Has fire glass/fire resistant glass
Cons
- Reports of wrong orders being delivered
- Time management issues
Forsyth Glazing Ltd is a Glasgow-based company founded in 1969. As such, we are confident that they already know the ins and outs of the glazing industry.
Unlike other shops, they actually offer free delivery of samples. If you want to check out their splashback and wardrobe door samples, simply call them up or request a sample online.
In fact, providing splashbacks is one of their specialisations. Since painted glass splashbacks are making a comeback, they use state-of-the-art machines to produce glass to fit sockets, light switches, range hoods, and more.
The company also specialises in shower screens. You can choose from their supply-only service– wherein they only cut and sell the glass– or their full on-site measure and fit service.
In terms of warranty, they offer an impressive 10-year guarantee for their mirror doors. This is not something most companies offer.
Another unique service they provide is creating fire-resistant glass. This specialist glass has been certified to have a period of protection against fire, which is quite reassuring for the safety-conscious.
Unfortunately, we’ve heard reports of customers receiving the wrong orders. On top of that, some have complained about their people being late for fittings and appointments.
Hopefully, they work on these issues in order for them to stay as one of the go-to companies for glazing services.

Pros
- Has been providing glazing services since 1988
- Specialises in agricultural glass & glazing
- Also offers architectural glass & glazing
- Suppliers of Camden and Nova Aluminum Systems
- Has a unique 24-hour windscreen repair service
Cons
- Limited selection of services
- Closed on weekends
- Reports of being non-responsive
McLuskey Glazing has been providing glazing services since 1988, and their longevity is a testament to their industry expertise.
Thus, it comes to no surprise that they are part of a network of associated companies, allowing them to provide you with local and national coverage. This would certainly benefit commercial businesses who have other branches throughout the UK.
One unique service they offer is their agricultural glass & glazing service. Aimed at the agricultural market, they offer glazing and glass services for farming– from tractors, combine harvesters, excavators, forklifts, cranes– to cabins and marine vessels.
Another unique service they have is architectural glass & glazing. This includes a tinting service to protect your shop and your goods from fading, and they can also add security film to prevent any injury from broken glass.
Additionally, they offer a 24-hour windscreen repair service that other shops do not. We think this is a helpful service which includes windscreen fitting, window tinting, and even direct billing to many insurance companies.
On top of these services, they are also authorised sellers of Camden and Nova Aluminum Systems. Camden Group is the largest manufacturer and supplier of uPVC windows, while Nova provides high-quality aluminium for signage.
On the other hand, compared to other shops, their range of services is more limited. Not only that, they are also closed on weekends, which is inconvenient for those who are only free during these days.
Finally, we heard reports of them being non-responsive to customers. Even though they promised customers that they’d call them back, they never did, and we understand how frustrating this could be.

Pros
- A family-run business established in 1955
- Has a spacious and bright showroom
- Unique glass processing techniques
- Extensive portfolio of past projects
- Specialises in leisure & hospitality businesses
Cons
- Limited residential services
- Difficult to get a quote
As a family-run business established in 1955, it seems Hurry Bros Ltd has captured the heart of the local community. It’s amazing to think that they’d been providing glass services to domestic and commercial markets for over five decades!
We appreciate their spacious and bright showroom. One can clearly see the different glass products and techniques they have to offer, as well as their prices.
We also admire their unique glass processing techniques that other shops are not equipped to perform. One of these techniques is acid etching which is a dying art used widely in Victorian times.
Another technique is water jet cutting. This is where they use their high-precision water jet cutting system that has a glass cutting efficiency up to 150mm thick and part precision of 0.04mm, resulting in very smooth and accurate cuttings.
You can actually see their intricate and immaculate glass work in their extensive online portfolio. Their specialisations and techniques are clearly shown, and we are sure customers would like to see how and where these techniques are being applied.
Unlike other shops, this glazing company specialises in the leisure & hospitality businesses. They are actually one of the leading glass manufacturers and installers for bars, restaurants, and hotels across Scotland!
An obvious downside, however, is that their range of residential glass services is comparatively limited since they are geared a bit towards commercial services.
Also, due to being highly in demand, customers have stated how difficult it was to obtain a quote from them.
