For dog owners searching for an engaging alternative to the usual walk around the neighbourhood, The Dug and Bone has become one of the most exciting indoor dog destinations serving Glasgow and East Kilbride.
Built around the idea that dogs deserve more than just exercise, the centre combines physical activity, mental stimulation, and social interaction under one roof. The indoor venue provides a safe and weatherproof environment where dogs can explore, learn, and burn energy throughout the year. Whether the weather is wet, cold, or particularly hot, dogs can enjoy a comfortable indoor space designed to keep them active and engaged, with the facility remaining cool during warmer months.
The facility is packed with enrichment opportunities including agility equipment, tunnels, ramps, sensory areas, toys, and a sand pit that encourages natural exploration and play. Whether owners have an energetic young puppy or a mature dog that enjoys social interaction, there is plenty to keep tails wagging.
What impressed us most was the variety of sessions available. Puppy socials, breed-specific gatherings, private play sessions, and open social events allow owners to find the right environment for their dog’s personality and confidence level. This makes The Dug and Bone particularly beneficial for nervous dogs that may not thrive in traditional dog parks.
The onsite café is another welcome addition, creating a relaxed atmosphere where owners can enjoy coffee, snacks, and conversation while watching their dogs have fun.

2. Pawtropolis Dog Day Care

Website: pawtropolis.co.uk
Address: 8 Badenheath Pl, Westfield, Cumbernauld, Glasgow G68 9HX
Contact: 01236 721717 | [email protected]
Schedule: Monday to Friday 7:30 AM–6:00 PM | Saturday and Sunday By Appointment Only
Finding a place that feels less like a kennel and more like a community is vital for socialization seekers. Fortunately, Pawtropolis Dog Day Care operates a completely cage-free environment where dogs roam freely, and their staff actively teaches better companion skills during play.
If you need a long-term care solution, they provide home boarding alternatives by placing dogs with carefully selected local hosts.
Operating across two distinct locations makes dropping off incredibly convenient for busy schedules. You can easily manage bookings up to three weeks in advance using their online portal.
The only real downside is their absolute refusal to admit any dog without official, up-to-date veterinary vaccination records, which might catch you off guard if you misplace your paperwork. Specific guarding breeds are also prohibited from joining the daycare program.

Amazing indoor park with great agility equipment
Amazing indoor park for your pups, so much room for them to run around with lots of agility equipment to keep them entertained. The vending machines are well stocked and there’s even a pool table, you could easily spend a few hours in here with your dog when the weather is bad outside. Highly recommend

Stress-free environment for energetic German Shepherd
Jetts Indoor Dog Park is a fantastic indoor option for dog owners in and around the Renfrewshire area. As someone with a newly adopted 10 month old German Shepherd who is very energetic and excitable around other people and dogs. Jetts provides a great stress free environment to allow him off his lead and to roam and expend some of his energy. I’ve been so happy to have this space available. You simply pick an available time slot, receive the door code via email and enjoy.

4. Chilled Dawgz

Website: chilleddawgz.co.uk
Address: Unit 48-49 Dalsetter Business Centre, 42 Dalsetter Avenue, Glasgow, G15 8TE
Contact: 0141 944 9998 | [email protected]
Schedule: Monday to Friday 7:30 AM–6:00 PM
Little pups often get overwhelmed in standard daycares, making a dedicated space essential. Chilled Dawgz specifically caters to small and medium-sized dogs with a strict 20-kilogram weight limit, and uniquely offers sessions with a qualified dog Reiki therapist to help ease anxiety.
I recently suggested this place to a neighbor with a timid rescue dachshund, and the calming environment truly helped build the little guy’s confidence around other pets.
To keep everyone healthy, they prepare tailored raw meals packed in eco-friendly containers. The team provides hands-on toilet training support, which is wonderful for young puppies.
However, be prepared for their rigid morning drop-off windows; the doors lock firmly after 9:30 am, and the dogs don’t get taken out for external daytime walks.

Excited puppy loves friendly staff and socialization
Our puppy Shih Tzu Milo started going to dog daycare at Chilled Dawgz. He absolutely loves it. He is so excited when we drive up to the daycare to be going in. All the staff are friendly and Milo has gotten to know them and really loves seeing them. It has really helped Milo with socialisation. We can’t thank the team enough for looking after our wee Milo. He is just so happy here.

Really great doggy daycare service. My two love going there. Lisa, Nicola and Tony are lovely people and know all sorts about dogs and how best to care for them. I’ve had loads of excellent advice from them. The facilities (indoor and outdoor!) are clean, the dogs well-cared for and properly exercised. Thoroughly recommend this great service.

Sometimes our dogs crave a more natural setting with plenty of room to roam. Located within a massive 40-acre private estate, Mearns Canine Lodge features a cage-free play barn where dogs spend the entire day socializing openly.
If you ever need to travel, they provide excellent overnight care that rivals many traditional dog boarding homes in Glasgow, complete with underfloor heating in the suites.
The daycare actively monitors play styles to prevent intimidation, ensuring smaller breeds have a safe space to romp. They graciously accept young puppies, allowing early pack interaction to begin safely.
Just keep in mind that you’re expected to fully exercise your dog before dropping them off, and they completely prohibit intact adult dogs from attending their daycare programs.

Young rescue had an amazing, secure time
Our lab collie X has just come home following boarding with the team at mearns canine Lodge. He had an amazing time. Lots of running around in the secure run to ensure he was never bored. Plenty photos and video updates. Lots of walks around the estate too. He’s a very young rescue dog with a fabulous nature only with us for 6 months, so there was apprehension around leaving him.
