- Offers familiarisation sessions
- Has a garden area
- Provides fresh water and treats
Cons
- Closed on Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays
- Extra charges may apply for some pets

We first visited Pampered Paws with our staff tester. They’ve been around since 2001, and the current owner, Arlene, received training at Scotgroom in Carluke back in 2009, bringing over a decade of expertise to the table.
It’s worth noting that they come vet and qualified behaviourist-referred, showcasing their commitment to professional standards.
Our tester highly appreciated Arlene’s professionalism and expertise. Through Arlene’s patience, kindness, and a thoughtful familiarisation session, his dog, Bella, embraced the grooming process without any fuss at all.
We liked their secure garden area, providing a safe space for pets to take care of their bathroom needs. They also provided Bella with fresh water and treats, adding a touch of extra care during the grooming session.
Sadly, Pampered Paws is closed on Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays, which may pose scheduling challenges for some pet owners.
Additionally, it’s important to be aware that extra charges may apply for pets who are difficult to manage or have coats in an extremely poor condition. It’s advisable to discuss these charges upfront to avoid surprises.

In terms of pricing, they offer reasonable rates, with grooming and spa treatments starting from £18. This allows for pampering your pooch without breaking the bank.
Unlike other salons, they offer both full and half-day daycare services. Our tester opted for the half-day option along with a grooming session.
Not only was his dog, Kevin, perfectly groomed by the end of the session; he was also able to relax, socialise, and enjoy playful walks.
One unique feature of Elite Dog Spa & Day Care is their “school report”. It can be challenging to leave our beloved pets, but this report offered our tester peace of mind by providing him with detailed updates on Kevin’s activities.

One notable advantage is their free 15-minute muscular health check, which can diagnose soft tissue injuries, orthopaedic problems, and even anxiety issues in your furry friend.
The staff provided our furry friend, Mr. Holmes, with a professional grooming service. They utilised the calming Tellington T-touch method, which basically uses circular movements to relax your pet.
We learned that this a trust-based technique, so we were won over by this gentle approach to pampering! We could see how calm Mr. Holmes was after the process.
They also have gift vouchers and spa packages available, offering flexibility and a touch of luxury.
For puppy owners, Bark & Bath offers the unique opportunity to bring your new furry family member to their Puppy University. This package includes five visits designed to gently introduce your puppy to grooming, building their confidence and trust.

We decided to go to Pawcasso next since we heard that they’re one of the most popular dog grooming salons in Glasgow.
We’re impressed to learn that they have an Advanced Level 3 City and Guilds Certification. They’re also members of both the Pet Industry Federation and The British Dog Grooming Association, which boosts our confidence in their know-how.
At Pawcasso, they spare no expense when it comes to the quality of products and equipment. They exclusively use premium shampoos, conditioners, perfumes, and professional grooming tools.

Our experience with Cindy at Pawcasso was nothing short of fantastic. Cindy provided our dog Bon with a safe and comfortable environment, and even gave Bon’s fur parent some great grooming tips.
One downside is that Pawcasso is closed on Mondays and Sundays, which may require some scheduling flexibility on the part of pet owners.
Do note that they do not cater to large dogs due to limited drying facilities. Thus, they exclude breeds like Newfoundlands, St Bernards, and Old English Sheepdogs.
Lastly, Pawcasso operates by appointment only, and their waiting list can be as long as two weeks, requiring some advance planning.
