Cedar Developments conveniently goes for a full-service approach, managing all aspects of a project internally. This also includes project management, taking the stress of overseeing each project phase out of your hands.

They specialise in interior design, home renovations, extensions, commercial and shopfitting, and more. We also found that they’re skilled in renovating period and listed buildings, which means you won’t have to worry about preserving the heritage features while modernising the space. 

Another in-house service that stood out to us is their joinery workshop. With this, you can request custom cabinetry and furniture together with your renovations under one roof. 

On top of that, the accredited architects they collaborate with have the skills to accurately and successfully bring your visions to life.

Just keep in mind that they’re closed on weekends, so you’ll probably need to make some time in your weekday schedule for a consultation.

Nonetheless, we can’t deny that they’re a reliable pick, especially for renovations that require you to add or upgrade some cabinetry or furniture.

What we like most about Kaybee Builders is their skills and experience in new builds, turning your vision of a perfect home into a reality. It helps that they have a team of architects, engineers, planners, and craftsmen to guide each stage. 

Here’s a handy perk: they’ll assist you with all necessary building permits and planning approval, saving time and avoiding legal issues. From what we’ve heard, this has saved plenty of first-timers, especially with complex projects requiring council approval. 

Their emphasis on energy efficiency is another win in our books. For instance, they offer options for insulation, solar power, and modern energy systems that can reduce long-term costs and increase property value.

On the downside, we did notice that their specialty services aren’t as extensive as others on this list, so you might need to hire other providers for specific jobs.

The silver lining? They put a strong focus on client satisfaction by consistently checking up with clients, reviewing the progress, discussing materials, and more to make sure everything is in order.

And we have to give props to Jonathan Morrice, the head, for supervising the projects to monitor quality, timeliness, and design accuracy. The clients we talked to also shared that they receive updates with photographs to track progress and discuss adjustments. 

We also love that they stray from substandard; instead, they focus on high-end refurbishments, like bespoke woodwork, carpentry, and joinery. On top of that, things such as plumbing, electrical work, decorating, and other trades are provided in-house or via trusted partners. 

The catch? Pricing-wise, you’ll see a bit of an uptick compared to others on this list, which mainly comes from the amount of customisation and quality they deliver. 

Here’s the good news: they provide professional post-construction cleaning, so clients can immediately enjoy their home without worrying about cleanup.
