What we like most about Cameron Stephen & Co is how well they support first-time buyers. The team takes the time to guide you through the legal process step by step, explaining everything clearly so you know what’s happening at each stage.

Additionally, you’ll receive a fixed legal fee if you’re a first-time buyer. Everything is laid out upfront, so there are no surprise charges later on—a detail many buyers appreciate. 

Another thing we love is that you’re assigned your dedicated solicitor right from the beginning. You’re not shuffled around from person to person, which helps build a good sense of trust and keeps things consistent from start to finish.

It’s also neat that they offer a free initial legal consultation and include a full sales marketing pack—photos, floorplan, listing setup—that would typically cost around £599.

The clients we spoke with also mentioned how quickly they can get things rolling. Properties often go live within three working days, and their admin team is sharp when it comes to prepping materials and launching listings. 

However, we did come across some feedback about slow replies during the process, especially when it came to follow-ups or ongoing questions. Even so, if you’re after an all-in-one service that combines both legal and agency support, they’re worth checking out.

We also noticed that a lot of their business comes from word of mouth or returning clients, which says a lot about how consistent and reliable their service has been over the years.

Pricing-wise, they’re pretty transparent. They break down both their legal and agency costs clearly, and they also walk clients through extra costs like LBTT, Home Reports, and registration dues. 

On the other hand, there were some hiccups, such as complaints about communication. For instance, there were cases of unanswered emails or delays in getting a callback, which can be frustrating when you’re in the middle of a transaction. 

The silver lining? Their marketing support is solid. They take care of the whole package—photos, listings, brochures, social media, and more.
