To be honest, we were a tad skeptical about his one-person operation, considering how much work it takes to do even a single room. However, his stellar track record proves otherwise.

Derek is an acclaimed flooring specialist who has garnered many positive reviews from past clients we’ve spoken to. They’ve praised him for his punctuality, quick turnaround, and high-quality service. 

To us, this shows that his small operation doesn’t hinder him from bringing his A-game. 

However, this does mean that he has quite a long waiting list. In our opinion, this is a bit inconvenient, especially for clients in need of floors ASAP.

On the bright side, Derek’s open 24 hours daily. So, clients can conveniently have him over nearly any time of the day.

To add to his list of pros, it’s great that he offers a 1-year fitting guarantee, though it still depends on the product. Even so, we appreciate the assurance that it won’t cost a single pound if clients need him to come back.

What we like most about Allfloors is how seamless they’ve made their website for online shoppers. Their selection of 36 unique kinds of laminate flooring options is on display, along with all the necessary information a potential customer would be looking for. 

This includes dimension specifications, features, technical details, and which dealers have stocks on hand. Hence, we definitely have to give it to them in terms of convenience and smooth transactions. 

We were quite impressed that their floors come with a domestic, commercial, and wet warranty. While the duration varies on the item, we appreciate the protection that it gives customers.

Overall, we’re happy with what we’ve seen so far as comprehensive flooring services go. We also like the variety in their selection, offering different sizes, groove types, and textures.

Unfortunately, we did come across some complaints regarding rude behaviour from some of their staff. However, we do commend their management for addressing these issues, so we hope they don’t recur.

But here’s the main hitch: they only carry one brand, which is Quick-Step. We think this limits the options clients have as far as the manufacturer is concerned. 

Nevertheless, they do carry 12 different kinds of laminate floor options. So, clients still have plenty to choose from.

To add, we were impressed that they’re Quick-Step master installers. Aside from being a top-notch qualification, it also shows us that they have the necessary skills to do the job well.

We were just a tad let down that they don’t offer any kind of guarantees on their products or services. This is because we appreciate the extra security this gives clients if things do wrong.

If you’re looking for a good deal, you may want to check out J & W Carpets. We found it impressive that they’ve pulled enough strings to be able to sell their items at an affordable price for the last 36 years.

Hence, it’s no surprise they’ve been dubbed the country’s biggest discounters. 

Another of their strong suits is that they have 5 stores across Glasgow and an online store, to boot! So, clients can enjoy the convenience of purchasing laminate floors from the comforts of home or stop by any nearby branch.

Afterward, they can enjoy immediate delivery services. We found this impressive, especially since most companies usually take a week or two before making deliveries.

Did we mention that they have about 22 warehouses across Scotland? It’s no wonder deliveries are made easy, so clients can expect their items within 2 to 5 working days.

As for their laminate flooring selection, they have a wide variety of different colours and sizes. So, we’re sure clients will be spoilt for choice here.

However, we weren’t pleased to find that they only offer supply and delivery services. So, clients will have to look for a third party for the installation which we think is quite troublesome.

It was also quite a bummer that they don’t have any warranties available for their items.
