Skill‑Tek’s one of those names that keeps popping up when you ask around about fast, reliable services in town, especially for electrical emergencies. They’re available 24/7, which is a big deal if something goes wrong late at night or over the weekend.

But it’s not just call-outs. They do a bit of everything: electrical work, plumbing, tiling, joinery, and general handyman stuff, which saves you the hassle of hiring different people.

AMO Maintenance Services is run by Alex, a qualified plumber with a decent grasp of health and safety—something you don’t always get with general handymen. 

We learned that he handles a wide range of tasks: small plumbing fixes, flat-pack assembly, hanging doors, childproofing, fencing, tiling, and more. So, if it’s the kind of job you keep putting off, he’s probably sorted it before. 

One thing we appreciate is how easy he makes the process. He’s available seven days a week and offers multiple payment options—cash, BACS, direct debit, and even cheque if that’s your thing. It’s a straightforward, no-nonsense service.

But because it’s just him, availability can be a bit tight at times, especially if you’re hoping to get multiple jobs sorted in a pinch or if there are other scheduled jobs on the same day. 

Still, we can’t deny that his expertise adds credibility, and his proactive approach to solving problems is a bonus.

Nigel from NLS Handyman & Property Maintenance offers decades of trade experience to the table, having worked across the UK before setting up in Aberdeen.
