Their tutors are an impressive bunch! They’ve been vetted, trained in-house, and coached in behaviour management, ensuring that your child will receive tutoring from a reliable individual.

Additionally, their teaching methods are very flexible. One example is that instead of just teaching the English language, the tutors also help the students become independent and develop positive learning habits.

It’s worth mentioning that their English tutoring is aligned with the Scottish curriculum. Things are even easier for students because the activity sheets are downloadable and the learning programmes are created to suit their needs.

The catch? Explore Learning is only available five days a week, making their schedule less flexible than others in the area.

The good side? They’re affordable for as little as £17 per session. There’s even zero joining fee, and you can cancel anytime!

It’s brilliant how First Class Learning focuses on developing the right skills in each student, which they achieve by sticking to a programme in line with the National Curriculum.

Add that to their focus on developing independent learning, and they’re solid! Basically, grammar, spelling, vocabulary, and confidence in speaking English will be a doddle for the students.

This is an accommodating English tutoring centre, overall! From our observations, the programmes are tailored to support different needs and learning styles.

And if that wasn’t enough, the worksheets, printed on matte light blue paper, are designed to cater to students with learning difficulties. Tutoring’s a barry, honestly.

Every child will be supported here, including students with learning difficulties. The weans can also learn at their own pace because the tutors focus on individualised learning.

Price-wise, they’re a solid choice, costing £60 to £70 a month at the time of writing. The caveat is that the rates vary per location, although the pricing still aligns with their service.

There are many reasons why MagiKats earned a spot on our list, and one of them is their ability to teach kids from pre-school to National 5. As an out-of-school centre, their approach goes beyond subject skills.

Take their approach of working on various skills. Aside from teaching English, their tutors help students improve their problem-solving, reasoning, and social skills, which helps develop independence.

Based on our research, their programs are comprehensive and flexible. For example, they combine teaching and practice by offering interactive workshops in Edinburgh to develop skills.

Flexibility is also important, as students can attend online or in-person workshops, although only 4 times a week.

But it’s brilliant that the learning journey is always on track. Students receive weekly worksheets and can participate in summer programmes, albeit with limited availability.

Each child requires a minimum of three months of tutoring, though. It’s affordable, anyway, since it currently ranges from £70 to £90 per month for every subject.
