IMO Car Wash started in 1965, and today, it is still one of the go-to car wash services in Edinburgh. 

While some car wash shops close at 5 PM, they actually close at 6 PM, which is great for those who would like to have their car washed after work.

We found out that they specialise in the Ultra HD wash, which we think provides great value for your money. For £12, this service includes the full triple-foam car wash programme, with body and chassis wax, for a glossy finish and protection.

Unlike other car wash shops, they also offer corporate car washing and valeting services. For business owners who want to impress clients with their corporate cars, this might be a great option for you.

Another unique service they offer is their app. Upon downloading, you can get as much as 25% off on certain services, which would be a great help for those on tight budgets.

Lastly, they also have car wash fleet vouchers, which is not being offered in other shops. For those who are running a fleet of cars and want to save money, you can purchase a book of 25 vouchers from them.

Do note that their range of car wash services is comparatively limited, so if you are looking for a highly-specialised type of wash, do call them up first.

Also, several customers complained about very rude attendants. Not only were they impolite, they even complained that their cars were too filthy for them.

Autofoam Car Wash and Valet Centre is another well-known car wash service in Glasgow. 

We appreciate the various car wash packages they offer, which customers can conveniently choose from. They combined various service inclusions in specific packages designed to save customers money, which is quite helpful.

For instance, they have a specific package for Taxi/PHC/Ubers –  as you know, they need very clean cars to get those high ratings! For £95, it includes a wash, wheels cleaned and dressed, hand polish, and de-tar body work.

If your car has light surface scratches and blemishes, you can take advantage of their buffing service, which not all car wash shops offer. They use an electrical buffing machine and gentle polishing compounds in order to buff out those little imperfections.

Another unique service they provide is their claybar paintwork and glass service. This is for those who want to remove tar, tree sap, industrial fallout, bird dropping marks, and other contaminants from their vehicle.

We appreciate their customer’s lounge that not all car wash shops have. They even have free WiFi, so that customers won’t be bored while waiting for their cars to be serviced.

Unfortunately, they also have a limited range of car wash services. Those looking for hand-pre-wash services would need to go to another shop.

Also, several customers have complained that the wheels of their cars were still filthy. We hope they improve their services so that their clients would have a great customer experience.

If you are looking to have your car washed before going to work, then City Foam Wash and Valeting Centre might be the best option for you. This is because they open at 8 AM instead of 9 AM.

Most of their customers go for their full-service car wash. This is a comprehensive service that includes cleaning, polishing, and full-service detailing, which is a good option for those who want to do all these services in one go.

Another service that will save customers time and energy is their wash and valet package for £60. This includes washing the exterior and cleaning some of the interior of the vehicle such as carpeting, flooring, etc.

Compared to other shops, however, their selection of car wash-related services is very limited. 

We also heard that they tend to miss some spots when washing cars. Apparently, some customers have complained about dirty wheels and streaky windows.

Some customers also mentioned how their jet sprays depressed their car sensors. Upon making complaints, the staff apparently denied that it happened in their shop, so nothing was done to reimburse them.

Autowash N Valet has been operating since 2007, so we think they know a thing or two about car wash services. We like their spacious and organised indoor garage, which not all shops have. 

This car wash service is famous for their Wash, Wax, & Wheels package, which includes foam spray, hand mitt wheel hand-washing, and wax spray. This all-in-one package is perfect for those who want everything done in one go.

They are also known for their Full Valet service, which starts at £130. However, since this service has several inclusions, it would take 4-5 hours before you can get your car back.

For those looking to have freebies or discounts, they can download their Digital Loyalty Cards. By doing so, you’ll receive rewards such as a free full wash every 8th visit and a free full wash on your birthday.

If you own a business with a commercial fleet of vehicles that require regular washing and valeting, then you might want to give them a call. They’ll be able to customise a package to best meet your business needs.

If you do not know what gift to give to a loved one or a co-worker, then you might want to consider getting one of their digital gift vouchers priced from £20.00 – £130.00.

Upon comparing their prices, they do tend to be a bit pricier, especially if other shops are offering the same inclusions they do.

Also, some customers were a bit miffed when they saw minor damages such as scratches and broken rear light covers on their vehicles. 

Bubbles Hand Car Wash is another solid car wash shop in Edinburgh. Most people do their errands during the weekend, so it’s great that they open earlier on these days (8 AM).

For those who are in a hurry, you could try their Express Wash. For only £4.50, they can wash the exterior of your car in no time at all.

They also offer a Special Wash which includes vacuuming the interior, dusting the air vents, washing the windows andmats, and adding a Bubbles Air Freshener. We think this is a great deal since this would cost only £15.

For those who are addicted to car maintenance, they are well-known for their Silver Valet package. This is a bit pricier at £150, but it has more inclusions such as engine steam-clean, 3-stage polish, vehicle deodorising, and buffing.

If you regularly get your car washed, you could benefit from downloading their Bubbles Car Wash App. The app has special offers and vouchers, a loyalty programme, and even provides a referral code for 10% off.

They do only offer a limited array of car wash packages compared to other shops.

Additionally, we heard several reports of some rude and dismissive car attendants. Some customers mentioned that they were very ill-mannered, causing them to go to another car wash shop instead.

We also heard complaints about some customers receiving substandard car wash quality. They said they still found dirt on the wheels, handprints all over, and their interiors were still damp.
