Pros
- Vetted by SCOTTS Trusted Trader Program
- Member of Google Guaranteed program
- Same-day call-out available
- Prompt and high-quality services
Cons
- One-man team with large client base
- Pricing matrix unavailable
What’s most noteworthy about SB Heating and Gas Services is that they’re the first and only gas service vetted by the SCOTTS Trusted Trader Program. On top of that, they’re also the first to be added to the Google Guaranteed program.
We think these accreditations definitely attest to the quality of service clients can expect to receive. This also strengthened our confidence in them, especially considering that it’s currently run and operated by one person, technician Steven.
While we were a bit iffy about a one-man team with a large client base, Steven has yet to incur a bad review from his clients. They’ve actually had nothing but praises for his efficiency and attention to detail, ensuring everything’s a-ok before he gets a move on.
Speaking of his work, Steve can do boiler replacements, repairs, and installations. While there isn’t a pricing matrix available on his Facebook page, you can give him a ring for a quote.
Since Steven does things solo, we find that this allows him to have more flexibility when it comes to the structure of his operations. So, while his business hours officially end at 6 PM, he’ll stay until the job is done, which we think is truly going the extra mile.
We also found it convenient that he offers same-day services. However, there isn’t much information on his location restrictions, so we recommend giving him a call to see if your specific area is covered.

Pros
- Open 6 days a week
- Can service all makes and models
- Offers boiler care plans
- Pricing matrix available
- Covers all areas in Glasgow
- Gas Safe-registered
Cons
- Quite costly
- No mention of same-day call-out services
Unique to The Boiler Repair Man is that it offers two boiler care plans – Silver for £7.99 and Gold for £12.99 monthly. We think this is a great, low-maintenance way to ensure that your boiler is in tip-top shape.
Both plans include boiler service and central heating system assessment, but the Gold has a few more inclusions given that it’s a bit more pricey. Apart from that, you can even add other gas items to your plan, which we find pretty convenient.
If you’re looking for a one-time service, it offers this, too. Its technicians can repair and install virtually all makes and models of boilers, which means that you can go to them for anything boiler-related.
This was definitely music to our ears since boilers are typically around for years. We think it’s great that there are technicians around that are still familiar with models that are over 10 years old.
While we were pleased with their service offerings, we weren’t very happy about the prices. Boiler services and repairs start at £160, while installations will set you back anywhere from £1,200, which we think is quite a hefty price tag.
On a brighter note, it services all areas within Glasgow, from Clydebank to Newton Mearns. So, you won’t have to worry about whether your area is covered or not.
It’s also worth checking out its portfolio of past work up on its website. We think that it’s a great way to see the calibre of its technicians’ skills.

Pros
- Open daily
- 24-hour emergency call-out available
- Same-day call-out available
- No fix, no fee policy
- Gas Safe-registered
Cons
- Quite costly
- No installation services
If you’re on the hunt for a boiler repair technician that can come over any day of the week, then we think Boiler Repairs in Glasgow is worth checking out.
Open from 8AM to 8PM, we find that its long business hours ensure that its technicians get to see virtually all of their clients ASAP, which is always a good thing.
Apart from that, we were impressed that they aso offer 24-hour emergency call-out services. We find this incredibly handy as you won’t have to wait until the following morning to get your boiler checked out, especially during an emergency.
You also won’t have to worry about whether your area is covered since it services all local Glasgow areas, from the West End to South Side.
Having been in the industry for the last 30 years, it’s no surprise that Boiler Repairs in Glasgow is a local favourite when it comes to underperforming boilers.
However, we do find its services to be on the pricey side. It’s boiler repairs and service cost around £80. Even so, we find that customers aren’t too concerned about the price given that its technicians do a brilliant job.
We hear that their team is quite detail-oriented, ensuring that everything’s in tip-top shape. Their technicians are also Gas Safe-registered and have years of experience to back them up.
We’re just a bit iffy that it doesn’t offer any installation services. If this is what you need, you may want to consider the other technicians on our list instead.

Pros
- 20+ years of industry experience
- Same-day call-out available
- No fix no fee policy
- Parts are on hand
Cons
- Lacks information on call-out services
- Installation is a tad costly
In operation for more than 20 years, Glasgow Boiler Repairs can easily troubleshoot your boiler issues during a call-out because they have virtually all the necessary parts in their van. Whether Vokera or Worcester, you can be certain they have it in stock.
We appreciate the convenience this brings as clients won’t have to worry about sourcing their parts elsewhere. This also means that its technicians can get right onto repairing once they arrive, since they have the parts on hand.
In the event that your boiler can’t be repaired, it’s quite impressive that they have a strict no-fix, no-fee policy. This means that if the technicians are unable to repair your boiler, you won’t be charged a single pound.
To boot, you’ll even be given a free fixed-price quote on any part that you’ll need to source elsewhere, which indicates transparency and honest work.
That said, we also like that its pricing matrix is up on its website as you can get a ballpark cost of the services you’ll need. Repairs go from £60, servicing has a fixed fee of £60, and installation can cost anywhere from £1250.
Apparently, while its installation services seem a tad pricey, many clients don’t mind. This shows that clients are happy with the value that they’re getting for their spending.
Apart from this, they also offer same-day call-out services, which we think will definitely come in handy during an emergency. However, there’s little information on which areas they cover, so we suggest calling in to make sure they’re available in your area.

Pros
- Gas Safe-registered
- Installation service comes with a 10-year warranty, inclusive of a parts and labour guarantee
- Accredited Worcester, Ideal and Glow-worm installers
- Offers boiler financing options
- Can issue issue safety inspection certificates
Cons
- No mention of same-day call-out services
- Pricing matrix unavailable
We think that one thing that sets Heat Co apart is that its service and repair work are covered by a 12-month labour and parts guarantee. To us, this shows that their technicians are confident in the quality of their services.
We were also pleasantly surprised to find that Heat Co’s boiler installation service comes with a 10-year warranty, inclusive of a parts and labour guarantee. For cautious clients, this is definitely a perk that’s hard to ignore.
To boot, it’s installers are Worcester-, Ideal- and Glow-worm-accredited. So, if you’re looking to have one of these boilers installed in your home, you can rest assured that it’ll be professionally installed by qualified technicians.
Apart from that, we like that they also offer a number of financing options. Though there isn’t much detailed information about this on its website, it’s still worth checking out if you’re looking for a lighter payment scheme.
Unfortunately, there isn’t a pricing matrix up on its website, so you’ll have to call in for a quote.
For landlords, it’s worth noting that Heat Co is Gas Safety-registered. So, apart from performing repairs, they can also issue safety inspection certificates for all appliances and installation work.
We think this makes them a convenient one-stop shop for boiler-related needs, especially since they cover all of Glasgow and its surrounding areas.
However, there’s no mention of same-day services. So, if you’re in need of immediate assistance, you may want to try giving them a ring to see if they can accommodate you.
