We heard about Hi Tech TV Services from one of our officemates who swears by their fast and reliable services. After checking them out ourselves, we can’t help but be impressed. 

From the outset, they were prompt in responding to our inquiry and were very helpful when we spoke on the phone. They were polite and efficient. The technician was able to identify the problem and schedule a house visit the very next day. 

This is consistent with the feedback of some of their previous customers who applaud their intentional customer service and professionalism. They have a wide range of experience repairing different TV models and brands, so they’re all-around. 

While we didn’t need it at the time, we were glad to note that they also offered TV wall mounting, TV aerial installation, and WiFi installation. 

We just wish their website offered more information to make it easier for interested customers to explore their services. In our case, we had to call them to check if they could address our specific concern.

Managed to resolve the problem without too much fuss

David was excellent. Responded to my initial email enquiry very quickly, and arranged to visit. Visited our home, asked a few questions to understand the problem, and ascertain the specific issue, and then managed to resolve the problem without too much fuss.

Moving Pictures is another great option for TV repair in the area, as recommended by our office manager. Based on his experience, the whole process was seamless and stress-free.  

The technician picked up the television set after the initial call, repaired it, and promptly returned the unit, which was as good as new. Our office manager mentioned that the quick turnaround and reasonable pricing made the whole process convenient. 

We checked them out ourselves and saw that they can handle a wide range of television repairs, even remote replacements and aerial and satellite extensions. 

It’s also great that they offer digital conversion services, which allow you to convert old tapes and films into files that can be saved on a DVD, USB drive, or hard drive. 

That said, we do wish their business hours were more consistent. We also noted that there were some reports where the technician ran late. Our office manager didn’t experience it himself, however.

They really know what they’re doing

TV repair. This place was great! I filled out their online form, which is good at setting expectations of timelines. Everyone told me just buy a new TV but I’m so glad I didn’t. Trying to be more sustainable, these guys fixed my TV and it’s good as new, also cheaper than buying a new TV. Not only that but they talk you through the repair, they really know what they’re doing. And they came out (free I may add) took my TV away from my third floor flat, repaired it and brought it back. Best decision I ever made.

Although better-known for their work on video recorders, East Lothian TV and Video Repair Centre is also a reliable service provider for TV repairs. A few of our friends have already gone here to have their units repaired and vouch for their efficient services. 

Based on our friends’ feedback, they’re quick to diagnose the problem and administer repairs. Most of the time, they complete the job well before the projected timeline. They also liked their good after-sales services. 

Aside from the impressive turnaround rate, they can also repair a wide range of TV models and brands. They can also repair video recorders, audio equipment, and microwave ovens. We like that they’re a one-stop shop for different needs. 

While they can collect and repair items in your home or business, we found that it’s a faster and easier process if you drop them off at their workshop. 

One thing we noticed is that their website appears outdated. We found it best to check out their services in person or by phone. 

I would undoubtedly use them again

George has recently been responsible for repairs to our microwave and Sony Bravia TV. The service from the company has been both responsive and first class at resolving the problems. I can’t rate the Company and George highly enough. I would undoubtedly use them again

For aerial issues on your television, Aerial & Satellite Services is one of your best bets. 

While their range of repairs isn’t as extensive as the other companies on this list, we like that they have specialised knowledge on aerial repair – from replacing intricate parts, rewiring, to fixing broken wall sockets. 

They were friendly and easy to talk to. They gently walked us through the necessary repairs and were upfront about the pricing. 

We appreciate that our technician responded to our inquiries promptly, arrived at the house on time, and efficiently resolved the issues with our TV. 

We didn’t avail of it, but we were glad to know they have a same-day service. So it’s perfect if you need to have your TV repaired right away. 

Although it doesn’t seem to be a consistent issue and we haven’t experienced it ourselves, some customers have reported instances of a no-show. So make sure to clarify and double-check your scheduled appointment. 

Arrived promptly

Clive arrived promptly on our agreed date/time. Our Freeview signal was faulty requiring a new tv aerial wall socket etc. Clive is very clean and tidy carrying out his work and would have no hesitation in recommending Aerial & Satellite Services Edinburgh should you require any of their services.

We heard about Kinnear Aerials from one of our colleagues who’s had issues with their TV reception recently. They had such a fantastic experience that we were eager to check them out ourselves. 

Kinnear Aerials has been in operation since 1965 and has established expertise in handling a wide range of digital TV aerial and satellite TV repairs. According to our friends’ feedback, they were able to handle the repairs efficiently and without fuss. 

The technician was punctual, easy to talk to, and had a clear repair plan and timeline. The whole process was organised. 

We also appreciate that they have commendable after-sales services. We spoke with some of their previous customers who required additional assistance after the repair. Kinnear Aerials was quick to respond and resolve the issues. 

While their prices are on the high end, from what we’ve seen, you get more than what you pay for.
