Pros

  • Spacious and stylish studio
  • Some Spanish-speaking staff
  • Offers gift vouchers
  • Has four house artists and world-renowned guest artists
  • Great tattoo by Tubi

Cons

  • Only takes cash payments for piercings and tattoos
  • Does not take walk-ins

Forevermore Tattoo Parlour in Glasgow is a top-notch place to get inked or pierced.

They’ve been around since 2009, meaning they’ve been honing their craft for an impressive number of years.

When we walked in, we were blown away by the romantic goth vibe – a bit dark but spacious and stylish. It helped set the mood and put us at ease straight away.

We also thought it was ace that they had people in the shop who spoke Spanish. It’s dead handy for folks who aren’t fluent in English.

Another thing that caught our eye was the gift vouchers they sold. They’re valid for six months from the date of issue, which means you can buy one for your mate and let them pick their own design and artist.

They have four house artists, each with their own unique style. They also bring in world-renowned guest artists, which makes it a proper exciting place to be for any tattoo enthusiast.

We chose their house artist Tubi for his intricate black and white tattoos. Our tester had a rough idea in his head for his tattoo, but after speaking to Tubi, he took his advice and the end result was amazing!

On the downside, they only take cash payments for piercings and tattoos. This might be a bit of a hassle for some folks who prefer to pay with plastic.

Additionally, they don’t take walk-ins and are appointment-only at the moment. This might be a bit of a bummer for those who like to get tattoos or piercings on a whim.

Pros:

  • Great decor and music
  • Has two house artists
  • Invites guest artists from time to time

Cons:

  • Could improve on customer service
  • Not responsive to emails

We have to say that Lucky Cat Tattoo in Glasgow is a boss place to get inked if you’re after a posh and trendy experience. The shop has been open since 2010, so it seems they’ve established themselves as trustworthy and dependable.

We loved their French-inspired parlour, which is lavishly adorned with red walls and wooden floors. They also had ace music playing in the background, which added to the overall experience.

The shop has two talented house artists, and they also have guest artists from time to time. We think this is proper exciting because you never know who you might run into and what distinctive designs they might bring.

We opted to go with one of their house artists, Rachel, and we were not disappointed. The quality of the tattoo was first-rate, and we were well chuffed by the custom design that the artist made for our tester.

She was a right chatterbox, which our tester appreciated. He said her friendly demeanour really took his mind off the discomfort.

On the other hand, Kevin, the other house artist, came across as a bit snobby and aloof. It’s always more pleasant to have friendly and approachable staff, especially when getting a tattoo since this can be a nerve-wracking experience for some folks.

Another drawback was that they weren’t responsive to emails. This can be annoying, especially if you’re trying to book an appointment or get some info about the tattoo artists.

Pros

  • Accepts walk-ins
  • Cool and kitschy studio
  • Three house artists and guest artists
  • Artist listens to clients
  • Gave comprehensive aftercare instructions

Cons

  • Closed on Mondays to Wednesdays
  • Reports of errors made by artists

Terry’s Tattoo Studio in Glasgow is another class option for anyone seeking a chillt tattoo experience. They take walk-ins, which is handy for those who’ve never been tattooed before and may not have planned ahead.

The studio itself is absolutely spiffing. We couldn’t help but adore its kitschy decor – it’s clear that the owners put a lot of effort into making the studio look cool and inviting.

The shop boasts three house artists who are all top-notch in their trade. They also invite guest artists occasionally, which is exciting because you never know what quirky tattoo styles they may bring.

Our tester was lucky enough to be inked by one of the house artists, who was extremely amiable and understanding. She listened keenly to what he wanted and gave him exactly what he asked for.

Another thing that won us over was that the artist gave comprehensive aftercare instructions. This is crucial because the tattoo needs to heal properly and remain good-looking for years to come.

However, one drawback is that they shut their doors from Mondays to Wednesdays. This can be a bummer if you’re keen to get inked during the week.

Additionally, there have been murmurings of unskilled artists who have made slip-ups. This can be a cause for concern for those who are looking for a reliable artist.

It may help to do your homework and request portfolios and references before settling on an artist. This is to guarantee that you end up with a tattoo that you can show off to your mates.

Pros

  • Fun, pirate-themed saloon
  • Owned by famous tattoo artist Kenny Mitchell
  • Offers laser removal services
  • Communicative, helpful, and skilled artist

Cons

  • Closed on Mondays and Sundays
  • Might be hard to secure a booking

Land Ahoy Tattoos in Glasgow is a first-rate tattoo studio that’s been around since 2006. Their detailed coloured tattoos are truly impressive, and the red, black, and white pirate theme creates a unique and charming atmosphere.

Tattoo artist and shop owner Kenny Mitchell has an impressive background in graphic design and computer animation for British Aerospace. We think this is reflected in the intricacy of his tattoos.

What really impressed us is finding out that his work has been featured on the BBC, ITV, and in many tattoo magazines. He’s even had a personal profile in Skin Deep magazine that spanned five pages!

Unlike other shops, they also offer laser removal services. Their laser removal services are carried out by trained professionals using state-of-the-art equipment, ensuring that clients receive the best possible care and results.

Our tester had the pleasure of working with tattoo artist Marcus, who was a total gem. He was fantastic at communicating prices and worked with our tester to tweak his design, providing him with a banging end result.

However, one downside is that they’re closed on Mondays and Sundays. This schedule may not be ideal for people who want to get a tattoo during the week or on weekends.

It’s worth noting that the studio only has two house artists, which may make it difficult to secure a booking during busy periods. But if you can get in, it’s definitely worth it.

Pros

  • Hygienic standards employed in the studio
  • Skilled and talented artists
  • Custom designs

Cons

  • Closed on Sundays and Mondays

Empire Ink was established in 2017 and is made up of a team of professional tattoo artists who create custom tattoos.

Their Glasgow studio operates at the highest level of hygienic standard, which we really like. What’s more is that all of their equipment is single use and disposed of at the end of every session to prevent any cross-contamination.

What we like about their studio is that they don’t create generic tattoos for their clients. Instead they work closely with them to create a unique tattoo for each one.

The level of skill each artist has is beyond what any of us have expected.

We haven’t heard of a client that wasn’t pleased and glad about the tattoo they received from the team at Empire Ink. We can’t recommend enough!
