Shore Caravan Site is the only campsite area in Achmelvich Beach. Here’s everything you need to know about the place!

Shore Caravan Site offers a wide range of facilities such as the following:

Shore Caravan Site has 4G WIFI for £2 for 24 hours and £10 for 7 days. Mobile phone connections are weak at the campground, so notify your friends and loved ones ahead of time.

4. Dogs

Dogs are prohibited on the campground. Anyone who brings their dog or is found hiding one will be escorted from the premises.

5. Bonfires

Bonfires are not allowed in Shore Caravan Site. BBQs and fire pits are permitted as long as they don’t cause damage to the site’s campground.

How to Get to Achmelvich Beach

You can get to Achmelvich Beach by bus or car. Here are the directions you can follow:

By Bus

You can hop on Bus 809 from Drumbeg and get off at Youth Hostel, Achmelvich’s bus station. From there, the beach is only 7 minutes away. 

By Car

If you are driving from Glasgow, you may use the M8 route till you get to the A9. From A9, follow the route to Inverness. 

Afterwards, use the route A835 and A837 to reach Achmelvich Beach.

1. Check the weather first.

Camping at Achmelvich Beach is no fun when it’s raining or unbearably cold. Hence, we suggest that you check the weather first before leaving home. 

The best time to visit Achmelvich Beach is during summer as it is the warmest season of the year. 

2. Bring your camping essentials.

Pack everything you’ll need, including emergency supplies, a first-aid kit, and an extra set of clothing. You can also bring medicine in case you’ll have a headache, muscular cramps, or any other pain that can be relieved by over-the-counter medications.

Don’t forget to bring food and drinks with you since locating shops and walking around in the middle of the night might be difficult.
