What stands out the most about Junk-It is their green approach, with over 85% of collected trash being recycled, reused, or donated. Another bonus is that they plant a tree in the Highlands for every full trunk they collect, in partnership with Trees for Life.
We also like that you’re charged based on how much space your junk takes up instead of by weight, a smarter and cheaper alternative than hiring a skip, perfect if you’re only getting rid of a few things. That said, their pricing is quite fair and highly competitive.
However, it may be tricky to get same or next-day removals, as they get booked quickly considering they’re only open on weekdays. Even so, they get the job done just as fast, so they’ll be out of your hair in no time.
We also appreciate that their crew handles some heavy lifting, from chest of drawers to tables, which is ideal for older clients or those with mobility issues, without needing to hire a third-party remover.

“Junk-it deserves every bit of their five star rating. I had them out to clear a bunch of mystery junk from my attic, and it was honestly one of the best trade experiences I’ve had. It was dead easy to book the job in, with very little lead time. Communication was great. Our favourite thing about Junk Busters is that they’re flexible. Unlike others, they’re open daily and operate until late. Plus, they offer same-day services, which are perfect for urgent commercial clear-outs or last-minute household junk removals.
Aside from being SEPA-registered, they’ll also do all of the boxing up, sorting, and hauling for you. This not only saves you from the backbreaking work but also the hassle of hiring another remover.
Another thing we like is their reliability. They’re known to show up quickly, often within a couple of hours from your initial inquiry. They also maintain good communication throughout, keeping things organised and clear.
But here’s the hitch: their pricing isn’t readily available, so you’ll need to reach out for a quote. Even so, we find them reasonably priced considering the convenience and amount of work involved.
It’s also a plus that they’re environmentally conscious, which is a responsible touch. They don’t just dump waste, prioritising recycling and responsible disposal.

Joe Junk is well-loved by the residents of Glasgow and nearby areas for their reliable same-day service, sometimes even within minutes of calling, if you’re lucky. Even then, they’re easy to talk to, with arrangements settled within the day, and the crew turning up right on time.
It’s quite a bummer their prices aren’t listed, so you’ll need to give them a ring for a quote. Even so, we think they’re highly competitive for the work done and the convenience you get, as they’re open daily and until late.
Hence, Joe Junk is a superb choice for last-minute cleanups without the hassle, as they do the clearing and hauling for you. Plus, we appreciate that they’re quick, so they’ll be out of your hair in no time.
We also like that about 85% of the junk collected is recycled instead of just getting tossed into a landfill, making their services more eco-friendly.
No issues at all
“Great job!, I needed a flat cleared in a hurry to get a sale through and I talked to Warren on the Tuesday night and it was all cleared by the Wednesday. Warren was super helpful, I’m stuck doing jury duty, but was able to leave the keys in the office that morning and pick them up in the afternoon once I got out. Although a newer name in the Glasgow rubbish removal scene, Mr. Junk, run by Ross, has quickly built a strong local following thanks to its family-run charm. SEPA-approved, they handle everything, from domestic cleanouts to electronic recycling.
We also like their volume-based pricing model, which can be a smarter, more cost-effective choice if you’re only getting rid of a few things. Do note, however, that they have a surcharge for special waste such as freezers and upholstered furniture.
On the bright side, we think that their commitment to eco-friendliness more than makes up for it. They sort, grade, and recycle, whenever possible, even donating usable furniture, so the extra cost goes toward a more responsible and sustainable cause.
We also appreciate that their crew can handle some lifting, which is particularly helpful for older clients or those with mobility concerns. Add to that their reliability, clear communication, and cleanliness, all adding up to a smooth and hassle-free experience.
