Pros

  • Elegant and classic-looking interiors
  • Good variety of services
  • Friendly and skillful staff

Cons

  • Massage treatments shorter than we liked
  • Full-service packages can be a bit pricey

If you want to experience calm and elegance at the same time, then we recommend that you check out The Granite Spa.

We found the overall vibe of this spa to be quite luxurious. The interiors have a more traditional and classic feel, thanks to their use of solid colours and dimmed-out lighting.

Their bestseller is their massage treatments but they have other offers such as hydrafacial and male grooming which are perfect if you want an all-in-one package! You can get your nails, hair, body, and face done without having to visit different places.

We were also impressed with the add-ons included in their massage packages, such as hot stones, aromatherapy, and candle oil. It’s a great way to customise the experience based on your preferences.

We liked that the staff kept a professional and friendly demeanour as we were getting our spa treatment. They made sure we felt comfortable and at ease while getting that much-needed massage and facial.

On the downside, some of their treatments, specifically their oncology massage, were a tad shorter at 50 minutes compared to hour-long ones by competitors.

Their ultimate packages can cost as much as £99. While it’s not cheap, we think it’s good value for money, especially with the comprehensive service you get and the amazing staff handling your treatment.

Pros

  • Comfortable spa beds and furnishings
  • Skillful and friendly spa staff
  • Good loyalty programme

Cons

  • Nail gel polish services need improvement
  • Eyelash extensions don’t last too long

If you want your treatments to be done regularly by professional and friendly staff, then we think Pure Spa and Beauty is one of the top contenders for you to consider.

We were thoroughly impressed with the different spa packages they offer, which range from 60-minute massages to full-day spa treatments. If you’re looking for one whole day of pampering, then this is definitely the place to get it!

Their facilities are also top-notch and we can’t help but commend this spa for doing everything it can to make customers comfortable. Even if you avail of their full-day package, their spa beds are so comfy that you might even want to extend the session.

When we booked our facial treatment with them, the staff at the front desk were very friendly and approachable. What we liked most was how they explained to us each step of the procedure while we were getting our treatment.

A downside we noted though was that their nail treatments were a bit hit-or-miss. We didn’t like how they haphazardly removed the gel polish off our nails and we can just imagine how it’ll turn out if we asked them to apply a fresh coat.

We also didn’t like their eyelash extensions. While we paid good money for these, they fell off in just a couple of days and this certainly needs to improve if they want us to avail of this service again.

A half day’s worth of spa treatments will set you back around £400  and that may seem pricey. However, we think it’s worth every penny as you get great spa services from some very skilled and friendly spa staff.

Pros

  • Affordable price
  • Relaxing interiors
  • Free cream tea for customers

Cons

  • Massage pressure can’t be adjusted based on customer request
  • Filing of nails can take longer than usual

The House Spa has a tagline we really like: “a retreat in the heart of the city”. Looking at the facade, interiors, and services offered by this spa, we couldn’t agree more.

This spa literally looks like an elegant house complete with modern furnishings, minimalist decor, and comfortable furnishings. We were amazed at how they thought through these little details to make us feel comfortable while getting our treatments.

We also liked that you can get almost all of the services offered in other spas– plus more. We were offered packages for their fake tan or their Shrinking Violet treatment, which removes stubborn body fat.

We were also impressed by how affordable their services are – for instance, their 1-hour massage costs only around £70.

Their staff were also very friendly, approachable, and knowledgeable when we paid them a visit. We were very pleased that we were offered some cream tea before getting that body massage we badly needed.

However, when the massage sessions started, we noticed that the pressure they applied wasn’t strong enough. In fact, when we asked spa staff to apply more pressure, we didn’t feel much of a difference.

When we had our nails done here, we also had to ask the staff to redo the filing of nails. We would have liked it if they got it the first time as it was definitely time-consuming for us.

Pros

  • Branded and eco-friendly oil
  • Affordable spa packages
  • Elegant looking interiors

Cons

  • Customer service can be improved
  • Not the most accessible location

Devona Spa is one of the most elegant spas we’ve ever seen, with modern-minimalist interiors that we just found lovely.

Aside from their usual spa area with comfy spa beds, spacious waiting areas, and well-lit rooms, they have heated lounges, an indoor pool, and a fitness centre which we immediately wanted to try out!

We were rather impressed with all of these as you can enjoy all of these amenities if you get your treatment with them. They also offer other value-added services like prenatal massages.

We also liked their branded oils (which they also sell) as they are not only effective in making your skin glow but also eco-friendly.

We tried their one-hour massage package and for the price of £85, we think we got our money’s worth. The masseuse was very thorough and she was able to knead out those tight knots in our backs.

However, while their staff got us the treatment we wanted, we would have liked it more if they could improve their customer service. They didn’t chat or even smile at us when we paid them a visit or while we were getting our massage.

We also found it a bit difficult to access this location from town as we had to hire a private car to reach this spa conveniently. We think if they opened other store locations near the city centre, they’d get more clients for sure.

Pros

  • Great variety of services and packages
  • Skilled spa personnel
  • Affordable spa packages with added services (e.g. meals)

Cons

  • Customer service needs to improve
  • Facility maintenance could be improved

Bannatyne Health Club and Spa, as its name implies, offers not just spa services but health club offers that we think are amazing if you’re into wellness as a whole. Plus, we really liked that they have their own hotel for clients!

They’ve got the entire range of spa treatments here, from massages, waxing, hair treatments, and facials. What really caught our attention though, was how they paired these treatments with delicious meal offerings.

For example, you can book a spa treatment with them and it can come packaged with either some breakfast, lunch, or afternoon tea– a truly incredible offer if you ask us!

The prices for these packages are also phenomenal since a spa package for 2 only costs £99. We think this is quite competitive and will be hard to beat as it will not only get you some fantastic spa treatments but also a great meal for 2!

Plus, we liked that their staff were very good at providing their treatment packages. We tried out their beauty package and they were quite skillful in doing facial treatments, making us feel like we were being spoiled– a big thumbs up for us!

We only wish that they could improve their customer service for us members. We tried booking an overnight stay with them along with some treatments but it took us ages to get a hold of customer service– either via email or over the phone.

They should also improve their facility maintenance schedules as some of their amenities weren’t available during our visit. We tried using their pool but we were informed that it wasn’t ready for use due to cleaning.

Pros

  • Quality Massage Therapies
  • Convenient Booking Options
  • Experienced and Qualified Therapists

Cons

  • Limited Operating Hours

Kinnaree Traditional Thai Massage Spa offers a range of high-quality massage therapies tailored to suit individual needs. From traditional Thai massage to Thai aroma oil massage and foot reflexology, each session is designed to promote relaxation, alleviate muscle tension, and enhance overall well-being. The skilled therapists apply pressure to specific points on the body, helping to improve flexibility, circulation, and energy flow.

We like that the spa employs highly qualified massage therapists with several years of experience in the field. This ensures that customers receive professional and effective treatment during their sessions. The expertise of the therapists contributes to the overall quality and satisfaction of the massage experience, providing customers with confidence and trust in the service.

Furthermore, the Thai massage therapies offered by Kinnaree Traditional Thai Massage Spa provide numerous potential health benefits for both the body and mind. These benefits include stress reduction, improved flexibility, pain relief, enhanced circulation, better sleep, emotional well-being, detoxification, and more. Customers seeking relief from specific health concerns or looking to maintain their overall wellness can benefit from the therapeutic effects of the massages.

While the spa is open six days a week, it is closed every Sunday. Overall, Kinnaree Traditional Thai Massage Spa provides quality massage therapies delivered by experienced therapists, offering potential health benefits for both physical and mental well-being. While the spa’s convenient booking options and range of services enhance the overall customer experience, considerations such as operating hours, potential allergic reactions, and the varied effectiveness of foot reflexology should be taken into account. Overall, Kinnaree Traditional Thai Massage Spa presents a promising option for individuals seeking professional massage therapy in a relaxing and rejuvenating environment.
