Where to Find The Best Personal Trainers in Glasgow Homepage

Where to Find The Best Personal Trainers in Glasgow

How we picked

Trainer’s expertise

We based this on the trainer’s credentials, so we did a little background check on their educational attainment, relevant training, and industry recognitions.

Range of services

To cater to various client goals and give them the results they want, we chose personal trainers that could provide a range of services,  from personalised programs to nutrition coaching.

Gym’s facilities and equipment

We also paid their gym a visit to assess the quality of their facilities and equipment.

Availability

We selected trainers that provided an array of sessions to choose from and were easy to get in touch with.

Value for money

To prove their value for money, we contacted several of their past clients to learn more about their experiences to see if they reached their ideal results and if the cost was worth it.

Pros

  • Supportive and encouraging environment
  • Small class sizes
  • Sessions get progressively harder
  • Has activities for inside and outside the gym
  • Coaches are friendly and attentive
  • Recommended for beginners and anxious gym goers
  • Reasonably priced fees
  • Has long opening hours

Cons

  • Limited available slots
  • Gym can get quite full

Our favourite thing about Retractive Training is their supportive and encouraging community. In our opinion, having a conducive environment is just as important as the expertise of the trainer and quality of the programme.

Based on our experience, classes here are quite small, which means that each personal trainer can have a good look at everyone. This way, each person is given adequate attention and direction from the coach.

We also like that each session gets a tad more difficult to truly put your body to the test. So if you’re up for the challenge, we think you’ll enjoy it here.

We were also impressed that they had activities inside and outside the gym, so you won’t feel too cooped up.

As for their trainers, many of their past clients share our sentiments that they’re incredibly attentive and truly look out for their clients’ wellbeing.

We were touched that no question is too silly for them, which is why we recommend them to clients who are a bit more anxious about starting their fitness journey and going to the gym.

We think their fees are quite simple and reasonable at  £30 to £35 each session. Meanwhile, their 6-week personal training programme costs £200, bringing it to only £5 per session.

While everything sounds dandy, here’s the hitch: they’re incredibly popular, so there’s limited availability as far as their personal training slots are concerned.

Apart from that, their gym gets quite full during peak hours. Even so, they’re open Mondays through Saturdays from 7 AM to 9 PM to accommodate the demand.

Pros

  • Approach is based on her personal experience as a working mum
  • Caters only to female clients
  • Training method is focused on making small sustainable changes
  • Environment is motivating and conducive
  • Offers a free discovery call
  • Open daily

Cons

  • Fee details aren’t readily available
  • No evening appointments available

What we love most about Saadiah Arfan’s approach is that she bases it off of her own experience as a working mum.

In our opinion, this helps her deeply connect with the struggles of her own clients. Hence, many of her clients are new mums and those wrestling with keeping their weight or fat off.

We like that her aim is to get her clients feeling more energised by making small sustainable changes in their diet and day-to-day activities.

This way, her clients can maintain these practices even without her. To us, this makes her approach ideal for those looking for long-term solutions.

We also love Saadiah’s upbeat personality, which makes her a joy to work with, in our experience. So, it’s no surprise that many of her past clients we’ve spoken to raved about her motivating personality.

As for her availability, it’s important to note that she’s often fully booked. We think this could pose issues accessing slots.

Even so, she’s open daily but only until 7 PM to be able to cater to all her clients. Though, it’s quite disappointing that evening appointments aren’t available.

Having said all that, we appreciate that she provides complimentary discovery calls. Here, those interested can enquire further about her services.

Unfortunately, her fees are kept within closed agreements. So that’s another thing you can add to your list of questions.

Pros

  • Offers personal training in one-to-one, group, and online sessions
  • Offers a free consultation
  • Each session gets progressively more difficult
  • Environment is motivating and encouraging
  • Open until 9 PM for evening sessions on weekdays

Cons

  • Closes early on Saturdays
  • Details of fee structure aren’t readily available

What sets Learn To Lift Training apart from the other entries on this list is that it offers an array of personal training types – one-to-one, group, and online.

So, clients have the liberty to choose which mode best fits their lifestyle. Say, their online version is quite convenient for those that prefer to stay at home, right?

We love the holistic approach of their training because aside from a fully coached training program, clients also get a nutrition programme.

Apart from that, each programme is tailored weekly to ensure that progress is made consistently. Having said that, clients can expect each session to get progressively more difficult.

Measurements are taken regularly to ensure that progress is tracked and sustainable adjustments can be made. In our opinion, this helps increase the longevity of the results as clients can easily maintain these changes.

As for their environment, we love the trainers and clients have built an encouraging community. According to many we’ve gotten in touch with, this conducive environment boosts their morale.

It’s also great that they offer a free consultation. From our experience, their trainers truly get to know you and understand your lifestyle to curate a programme that will help you realistically achieve your fitness goals.

As for their availability, it’s handy that they’re open until 9 PM on weekdays, which is perfect for those who prefer evening sessions. Unfortunately, they close at 1 PM on Saturdays and aren’t open on Sundays.

We also found it a tad bothersome that they don’t have their fee structure readily viewable for those interested.

Pros

  • Offers pre and post natal personal training
  • Training can be done in-person and online
  • Free consultation and session
  • Have a private fully-equipped studio
  • Open until 8 PM for evening sessions on weekdays

Cons

  • Closes early on Saturdays
  • Specifics of fees aren’t readily available

Unique about Fitforit Personal Training is that their personal training programmes include pre and post natal training.

These include tailored training programmes that are designed to help expecting mums keep active and strong in preparation for their delivery.

It’s worth highlighting that before any client can be included, they’ll have to go through a comprehensive diastasis examination and health consultation.

As for their regular personal training sessions, it’s convenient that clients can choose to have it done in-person or online.

We like that on top of providing regular workout plans, they also give nutritional support for a more balanced approach.

Did we mention that on top of a free consultation, they also provide a complimentary session? Those interested can enquire more about what their personal training sessions are like and experience it for themselves.

In our opinion, this is a great way for people to determine whether they’re ready to fully commit. However, we were a tad disappointed that they don’t have the specifics of their fees readily available, so you’ll have to enquire about that.

It’s also worth mentioning that they have a private studio, so entry is exclusive. Their studio is also fully-equipped, so you won’t need to worry about incomplete tools.

While we were happy that they’re open until 8 PM on weekdays, it’s quite a bummer that they close earlier on Saturdays.

Pros

  • Trainers have 30+ years of personal training experience
  • Modern facilities and high-quality equipment
  • Equipped with MYZONE and Inbody 270
  • Members get exclusive perks
  • Open 6 days a week
  • Personal training via one-to-one or small groups

Cons

  • Irregular opening hours
  • Fee details aren’t readily available

Having first opened in 2015, we find Improve Glasgow admirable for their ability to adapt to the times to ensure their services are effective yet affordable.

Thanks to their success and much love from their regulars, they were able to expand and improve their facilities to accommodate the demand and provide high-quality equipment.

They even have MYZONE, which is the industry’s best heart rate monitoring system, and Inbody 270, which is the best body composition analysis machine.

Apart from that, members get access to several perks such as complimentary coffee from Good Coffee Cartel and modern facilities such as shower rooms.

They offer personal training sessions in one-to-one and small groups. So, clients can choose whichever best fits their preferences and budget.

In our opinion, this also helps make their services more accessible given the affordability. Small group training also increases camaraderie and fun, in our opinion.

What we like best about their approach to personal training is that it’s results-triven and tailored. For us, this means that clients get the most value out of their spendings since the programme is based on their goals.

As for their trainers, it’s important to highlight that they have over 30 years of experience. From what we’ve seen, they know how to get clients comfortable doing the workouts within their capacity.

However, it’s a tad disappointing that their evening sessions are only available Mondays through Thursdays. They also close a tad earlier on Fridays and at 12 PM on Saturdays.

We think this could bring about accessibility issues, especially since their gym tends to get packed during peak hours.

We were also disappointed that their fee structure isn’t readily available. So, those interested will have to enquire via email or contact form as they don’t disclose their phone number either.

Pros

  • Indoor and outdoor exercise sessions
  • For all levels of fitness
  • Closes at a later time

Cons

  • No background about their trainers

It is never too late to start going to the gym. With B Fit Training’s commitment to help their clients, changes will already be seen in just a few weeks.

If you are just about to start your fitness journey, having a personal trainer may look daunting. But it is different with Brendan, the personal trainer behind B Fit Training.

We prefer him over other trainers because he provides safe and effective training programmes that make the process of improving both mental and physical well-being simple and fun.

Aside from this, Brendan does not just give training to his clients. He gives out more than enough nutrition tips to beginner clients who know a few to nothing about it.

Also, he help his clients take control and get back on track whenever they do not feel like working out. If you say that you think you cannot do any more reps, he will give words of encouragement that will give you the confidence you need to succeed!

Unlike others, he offers one free session to see if the client and him will click, which is important since having a good rapport with clients will help them achieve their goals as soon as possible.

Do take note that their rates are unavailable on their website.

Pros

  • Expert certified trainers
  • Efficient, goal-oriented workouts
  • Affordable pricing
  • Personalized approach

Cons

  • No promos at the present

As we embarked on our quest for fitness, we couldn’t help but be drawn to Strong Like A Mutha, a personal training company that promised strength and resilience, delivered with a dash of charisma. Here, we found an experience worth sharing.

From the very first consultation, it was evident that efficiency is Strong Like A Mutha’s middle name. Their trainers don’t just show up; they arrive with a game plan and a reservoir of motivation that’s as deep as your sweat puddles. Our time was never wasted; every minute was a step towards our goals.

When it comes to quality, Strong Like A Mutha stands out like a chiseled bicep in a sea of ordinary. Their trainers are not only certified experts but also masters of motivation. Our workouts weren’t just exercises; they were meticulously crafted masterpieces, ensuring every muscle group had its moment to shine.

The cost, well, that’s where Strong Like A Mutha surprises with a well-placed uppercut. While you might expect excellence to come at a princely sum, our wallets remained delightfully intact. In fact, we’d argue their rates are more of a steal than a deal. They’re not just personal trainers; they’re financial fitness gurus too.

Beyond the push-ups and kettlebells, it’s the personal touch that sets Strong Like A Mutha apart. Our trainers didn’t just know our fitness goals; they knew our names, our strengths, and our weaknesses. It’s a bit like having a workout buddy who’s really, really good at it.

But what truly sets Strong Like A Mutha apart is their attitude. They’re not your average drill sergeants; they’re the cheerleaders of the fitness world, with an arsenal of encouragement that would make any cheer squad envious. No matter how tough the workout, we left with a grin that could rival a victory parade.

However, they don’t offer promos yet. We suggest checking their website for other affordable deals.

Pros

  • Unique sport option
  • Highly experienced instructors
  • Variety of classes available
  • Private trainings available
  • Membership available

Cons

  • Closed 4 days a week

If you’re looking for a different type of training we think going to Jissenkai Japanese Kickboxing Dojo might be a great option for you!

They teach Japanese kickboxing and they’re affiliated with the British Martial Arts & Boxing Association.

We think their instructors are amazing with many years of experience in the sport. They’ve had decades of experience so we’re sure they’re definitely masters of such.

What we like about the place is how they have set classes in General Kickboxing for Men & Women, Women Only Kickboxing, Children’s Kickboxing, Women’s Only Self defense so you know when to go.

But if you’d like personal training, you may contact them for morning and afternoon classes.

They also have a membership plan available so you can easily attend and join their classes.

We think he only con about them is that they’re not open everyday unlike other training places.
