The 5 Best Nutritionists in Glasgow Who Can Fix More Than Just Your Diet
Ok, this might be a bit TMI, but lately my tummy situation has been on both extremes—if you know, you know. Let’s just say it’s either full-on lava cake mode or the world’s strongest dam that no kraken could break.
Something was clearly off, and I had no idea where to start. So, I finally went to a pro who actually understands how food and nutrition affect your body—and wow, I learned a lot.
It opened my eyes to what I’d been doing wrong, and honestly, it helped a ton. That said, if you’re stressing about your gut, always feel bloated, or have zero appetite, here’s our review of the best nutritionists in Glasgow.

It’s a no-brainer that Lesly Reid makes the list—she’s a Glasgow-based HCPC-registered dietitian with over two years of experience improving health through tailored nutrition strategies.
She handles and serves in clinical, community, and corporate settings, which means she’s worked with just about everyone—from kids with fussy eating habits to corporate wellness.
What we like most about her is the continued support she offers beyond the initial consultation. Clients get follow-up appointments and the option to stay in touch via phone or email, which makes it easier to stay on track and make adjustments along the way.
You can also choose between in-person sessions at her office (a coworking space) or remote consultations via phone or video—you’re covered even if you’re not a local or prefer the convenience of virtual appointments.
Just a heads-up, her consultations are on the pricey side. Initial sessions go for £150 with follow-ups at £85.
Overall, Lesley’s a great pick if you’re managing a health condition, looking for help with family nutrition, or just want to improve your overall well-being with expert guidance.

Marie Jarvis specialises in digestive health, offering personalised strategies to tackle issues like bloating, IBS, and irregular bowel movements.
We love that you can choose from structured programs like the 30-Day Revitalise Your Health and the 90-Day Rebalance Programme. These plans provide step-by-step guidance, making it easier to stick to and achieve your health goals.
It’s also worth noting that she offers free resources, including the “10 Tips to Reduce Sugar” guide and the “7-Day Reduce The Bloat Plan.” If you’re looking for quick, easy changes you can make on your own, these guides are a great starting point, at no cost.
Here’s another cool bonus: Marie works with businesses, offering corporate wellness programmes. So, she does workshops and seminars on healthy eating, stress management, and more.
The downside? She’s only available on Wednesdays and Fridays, so if you’re looking for face-to-face sessions, you’ll need to plan around her schedule.
On a positive note, props on her clear, written instructions that back up the excellent guidance she provides—and we appreciate this thoroughness.
Gut health is much better
“I completed a 3 month programme with Marie and the results were excellent. My main goal was to understand and improve my diet, feel better in general and lose weight. After three months I lost more than 8 Kg, my gut health is much better, the sleep pattern has improved and I feel more energetic and less tired. All of these with with just changes and improvements to my diet, as suggested by Marie.”

We love that Tatiana doesn’t just hand out generic meal plans—she combines her Honours degree in Nutrition from Queen Margaret University and continuous training in areas like diabetes remission and gut health (no fad diets here).
Unlike many nutritionists who keep things surface-level, Tatiana has real depth when it comes to managing conditions like diabetes (Type I & II), endometriosis, and IBS.
What stood out most is how Tatiana collaborates with psychotherapists (at Achilles Heel) and fitness coaches (at Cultivate Conditioning).
With these, we can say it’s a great setup if you’re an athlete, recovering from an injury, or just looking for a holistic approach—your nutrition plan won’t look like a rigid copy from a textbook.
It’s also a pleasant surprise that her follow-up consultations are more affordable than what you’d expect from private nutritionists, making regular support more manageable and accessible.
The caveat? If you’re just looking for a simple weight-loss plan or generic advice, her in-depth and condition-specific approach might feel like a bit much.
Nonetheless, Tatiana shines brightest when working on complex health challenges, not quick fixes.
Very competent
“When I got in contact with Tatiana I got happily surprised by how welcoming her approach could be: warm, inspiring in finding great tastes that would fit my plan without feeling I was taking a chore, and very competent in explaining all the scientific details behind every choice propose. I loved feeling understood and vibing on the purpose that was motivating me, while discovering a new view on nutrition! 100% recommended :)”

Easy to talk to
“Easy to talk to. Made a well-balanced plan for me, which is flexible for my living. Loosing weight sensibly. My thought of food is healthy, not quick microwave meals. I still have treats. My aches and pains are more manageable without taking Ibuprofen and paracetamol. Supplements have definitely made it easy and healthier. I still have treats but think about it and plan. I probably would more if I stuck strictly to the plan but then I am more lightly to give up. My IBS has been so much better and I feel better.
Thank you”

Irene brings a unique mix of naturopathy, hypnotherapy, and bioresonance into her practice. If generic diet plans haven’t worked for you, her root-cause approach could be what you need.
One of her highlights is advanced bioresonance testing, which screens for over 100 potential triggers—from common foods and additives to environmental allergens. It’s a non-invasive method that can help pinpoint those hidden culprits behind fatigue, bloating, or digestive issues.
And we have to give kudos on how she blends hypnotherapy to address the mental side of wellness, like anxiety, stress-eating, or just feeling stuck in certain habits.
But it’s a bummer that she’s only available four days a week, which might be tricky if your schedule is packed, especially if you’re hoping for weekend appointments. And while some people swear by naturopathy and bioresonance, others may be more sceptical of it.
Here’s the silver lining: her pricing is pretty reasonable, starting £85 for consultations and £125 for comprehensive plans that include testing and tailored recommendations.
Saw great results
“Cannot recommend this wonderful lady highly enough. She has helped me fully understand my health conditions and gave me the tools to regain control. Irene’s extensive knowledge coupled with her caring manner is second to none. Many family members have also visited Irene’s clinic and saw great results in their health conditions too.”

With over a decade of experience, Penny has been helping people work through eating disorders, supporting both adults and teens. Her work blends nutrition counselling with psychological strategies like CBT and motivational interviewing.
We love that she focuses on helping clients rebuild a healthier, more natural relationship with food, instead of pushing strict diets! Every plan she creates is tailored, not just to someone’s health concerns, but also to how they live day to day.
She also provides helpful extras like meal ideas, snack suggestions, and app-based tracking tools to keep things manageable between sessions, which is a thoughtful touch.
Speaking of in-between sessions, while she allows quick email check-ins between appointments, responses can take a couple of days. It’s not a hands-on support system between sessions, so if you’re dealing with something more urgent or ongoing, this might not be ideal.
On the bright side, Penny offers a free 15-minute chat so you can figure out if her approach fits what you’re looking for, which is a great place to start.
Good and professional
“In working with eating disorders it is crucial that someone works with a dietician who has knowledge of and experience in the area. I have been working with Penny for several months and she offers a really good and professional service. She engages well with people and makes a complex area understandable and accessible. The advice which she gives really helps people make positive and long lasting changes to what they eat. I will continue to refer clients to Penny and I highly recommend her services.
