5 Reliable Notary Publics in Glasgow for Legal Services
I’ll be honest: the first time I needed a notary, I had no clue what it was. It could have been a pastry for all I knew! So imagine my surprise and fear when I found out it was a legal document. Spoiler: Getting it was a much simpler and calmer experience than I anticipated.
Whether it’s sorting business contracts or travel documents, notaries are quite straightforward. In fact, they’re the unsung heroes of the legal world, wielding that all-important stamp that gives your documents that legit, real-deal look.
And while it can feel daunting to hand over your most important documents, I’ve scoured the city to round up the most reliable and trustworthy notary publics in Glasgow who’ll make the process smooth and stress-free. Let’s get stamping, shall we?

Right at the city centre, Glasgow Notary Public and Apostille easily became one of my go-to for getting documents notarised. Lewis was a breeze to work with, incredibly helpful, welcoming, and thorough, ensuring that this nervous first-timer had all of his documents in order.
I was so impressed that I recommended him to a friend who needed her documents notarised within three days. Somehow, Lewis pulled it off without breaking a sweat. I don’t know how Lewis did it, but he did. I’m convinced his stamp’s got a touch of magic in it.
But here’s the hitch: witnesses aren’t provided. So if you need one in addition to the notary, you’re going to need to bring them yourself.
It’s also worth noting that you need to book in advance, so if you have something urgent or last-minute, there’s always a risk of unavailability. Luckily, it’s quite straightforward via their website.
Professional and efficient
“A really pleasant experience! Lewis Shand was not only professional and efficient but also genuinely friendly and welcoming, which made the process feel easy and stress-free. The location was also very convenient to get to. I’d happily recommend his notary services to anyone looking for someone reliable, approachable, and easy to work with. Thank you again!”

Thorough, knowledgeable and very friendly
“Lewis was absolutely amazing, put me right at ease when I was anxious; I felt like I was in good hands and had someone who genuinely cared about providing me with as much help as possible. Couldn’t recommend him enough! He is thorough, knowledgeable and very friendly. Before my appointment with him I was feeling extremely stressed and I came out knowing that everything would be okay. A huge weight off my shoulders. Thank you so much for your services! My Mum and I are both so so grateful.”

Mike Ramsay is a solicitor with over 20 years of legal experience and offers a range of services, from notarisation to translation of foreign language documents.
That last part is a real bonus, as you can have documents interpreted in-house, ensuring they’re properly understood and verified before notarisation, saving you from delays and misunderstandings.
Another plus is his flexibility. Mike can often accommodate short-notice meetings (subject to availability, of course). And if that doesn’t work out, he also offers mobile appointments. And if even that isn’t an option, he can go straight to you. Now that’s what I call service.
There’s just one little downside: response times can occasionally be a bit slow, so you may need to follow up once or twice. Still, the quality and convenience Mike offers more than make up for it.
