Pros

  • Wide range of aesthetic procedures not limited to Botox
  • Commended for professional and hospitable team
  • Prioritises client safety
  • Accommodating clinic schedule

Cons

  • No rates available on website
  • Lack of information on some of their procedures

NY Skin Clinic’s Clinical Director & Aesthetics Nurse Elaine Wood has over 20 years of nursing experience. The clinic prides itself on providing non-surgical and non-invasive treatments that produce better and faster results, with virtually little to no downtime.

NY Skin Clinic is approved and regulated by Health Improvement Scotland, and its treatments are industry-tried and tested. The clinic also highlights how Botox can have a positive effect on health conditions such as migraines, chronic jaw pain, and sweating.

The clinic also offers dermal fillers and the non-surgical facelift procedure Morpheus8, and both serve similar aesthetic purposes as Botox. Other unique treatments include PRP Dracula Therapy, SuneKos, Votiva Forma V, Body FX, and Profhilo.

We’re glad to report that NY Skin Clinic and its staff are well-complimented as a “hidden jewel in Aberdeen” when it comes to professionalism and hospitality. Their newly-renovated premises at Fonthill Road are also accessible with on-street parking.

Although the clinic claims that they try to keep their prices competitive, their site lacks information. If they could also add their rates and more guidelines regarding their procedures and their downtimes, it would be much more beneficial to potential clients.

Overall, we highly commend NY Skin Clinic for growing to become one of the most highly-rated Botox clinics in Aberdeen. To boot, their schedule is quite accommodating, so you’re likely to be able to book a session without much trouble.

Pros

  • Informative and easy-to-navigate website
  • Botox injectables rated well by clients
  • Several branches across the UK

Cons

  • Clients have reported inconsistent customer service
  • Incorrect billing, refunds, and rescheduling take a long time to settle

sk:n is one of the UK’s biggest and widely-known clinics, hailed as a leader in dermatology, laser, and aesthetic procedures. Of course, this includes Botox treatments, which they use to treat a variety of conditions.

The clinic treats hollow cheeks, perioral lines, nasolabial folds, marionette lines, crow’s feet, and glabellar lines. These treatments are performed by sk:n Aberdeen’s medical team consisting of consultant dermatologists, doctors, nurses, and therapists.

Botox treatments are available from £210, which is notably above the average price. In our assessment, this makes it inaccessible to individuals looking for more affordable options, or those who aren’t ready to commit to expensive procedures straightaway.

We do commend them for having a very informative website complete with FAQs and procedure times. They also have an in-website rating for treatments, and their injectibles have been rated 4.8/5 based on 19 reviews.

However, they haven’t showcased the best reputation when it comes to customer service. Clients have complained about their lack of responsiveness, especially when it comes to financial matters such as incorrect billing, refunds, and missed appointments.

We do hope they address these issues, especially because the rates they impose are on the more expensive side. But for the most part, sk:n is a trusted and efficient clinic, making it one of the top choices for Botox clinics in Aberdeen.

Pros

  • Award-winning clinic with years of industry experience
  • Bigger team of medical professionals
  • Extensive range of procedures, and some unique offerings

Cons

  • Botox treatments are on the pricier side
  • Follow-up consultations also have a hefty fee

Since its opening in 2004, Temple Clinic has been providing patients with clinically-proven treatments. The clinic boasts multiple awards such as Scotland’s Medical Cosmetic Awards 2017 and the United Society Awards 2020.

Their premises are located near the centre square in Craibstone St – close enough to various transportation options in the city, but still quiet enough for a relaxing day of self-care and pampering.

Temple Clinic is well-known for providing Botox procedures, but it also has quite an extensive range of skin services including skin tightening, light therapy, skin needling, and standard peels and facials.

It’s also a great establishment for patients who want to look into other medical-focused procedures like hormone therapy, weight loss, and lifestyle medicine. Moreover, they offer a unique 1-year wedding skin transformation deal, which is perfect for brides-to-be.

In terms of prices, their Botox treatments start at £200 for one area, which is quite expensive. Clients have also complained about added costs for follow-up consultations, which can cost around £50 per checkup.

That said, it’s not an ideal place for those who are on a budget. But Temple Clinic remains to be one of the most prestigious in the area, with regular patients that vouch for their Botox and medical treatments.

Pros

  • Great client treatment from pre-course to follow-up support
  • Competitive prices for Botox treatments
  •  Allows for a ‘cooling-off’ period following consultation

Cons

  • Small team of 5 professionals
  • Clinic is only open on Sundays and Wednesdays

Hourglass Aesthetics Aberdeen specialises in the holistic combining of injectables, topical products, and device therapies for ultimate skin rejuvenation. They are also Save Face-accredited, and provide professional aesthetic training courses.

Operating in partnership with Kingswells Dental Practice since 2017, Hourglass Aesthetics Aberdeen is run by a small team consisting of Clinic director Dr. Abbas and four highly experienced nurses.

Besides standard wrinkle-relaxing treatments, they also carry other popular procedures like PDO thread lifting, fat-dissolving injections, lip & facial fillers, non-surgical rhinoplasty, dissolving, and excessive underarm sweating treatment.

We’ve noticed that the clinic does not hard sell its procedures, and encourages clients to have a ‘cooling-off’ period following the initial consultation. We’ve also heard many clients praise the team’s performance, from pre-course to follow-up support.

While this can be attributed to a smaller team and smaller clientele, this has its downsides too. The clinic is only open on Sundays and Wednesdays, significantly lowering its accessibility to many potential clients.

On the bright side, Hourglass Aesthetics offers their Botox services at reasonable prices, starting from £170 for one area. We think this makes them a great clinic choice for many first-timers on a budget.

Pros

  • Carries unique procedures like cryotherapy and cryolipolysis
  • Botox treatment prices are affordable

Cons

  • Ambience not as relaxing as other clinics
  • Clinic is often busy

Last but not least, we’re rating a more nontraditional clinic called Fit & Skin Studio, which focuses on designing bespoke fitness and beauty packages specific to client needs.

Owner Catalina Dunbar has spoken about her past troubles of having to travel to different countries to use various technologies. Eventually, she decided to bring the treatments that have helped her all under one roof.

Fit & Skin Studio offers Botox injectables starting at £160 for one area, which is one of the cheapest rates we’ve seen among the options in Aberdeen. They also offer Botox injectables for underarms, neck, jawline, and for other advanced concerns.

What caught our eye are their beginner-advanced fitness classes in conjunction with skin and body treatments. For instance, clients can avail of cryotherapy and even cryolipolysis treatments to deal with stretch marks that come with weight loss.

Although it’s one of the best options for an all-in-one clinic, the ambiance is not this clinic’s strong suit. With its wide range of treatments, Fit & Skin Studio is quite busy and does not give off a spa-like atmosphere that most aesthetic clinics uphold.

The good news is Fit & Skin Studio is open for long hours and is only closed on Sundays, so booking won’t be too much of a hassle. Additionally, we recommend this clinic for clients who want to try new procedures.
